A source tells KSR that 4 star Ohio Safety and Nebraska commit Marcus McWilson is considering visiting Kentucky this weekend. McWilson is a BIG TIME talent who had offers from scores of BCS schools when he originally committed to the Cornhuskers. His status as an Ohio recruit (the state Mark Stoops is focusing directly on) and a Nebraska commit (from where Assistant Vince Marrow came) makes Kentucky an obvious candidate. The source tells KSR that McWilson is considering a visit this weekend and a tour of what UK football may have to offer.
If Stoops can get McWilson on campus and potentially flip him…well that would be quite the play by the new Kentucky coach.

Regardless if we sign many of these highly rated recruits this year, it is impressive what Stoops is doing in less than 2 months on the job. Imagine the guys that he may get when he has a full year to recruit.

2-bc the kid (& uk) may not want to publicize it. its in uk’s benefit to keep it on the down low so neb cant recruit against the cats leading up to the visit. and may be better for this kid so neb fans dont hate on him and other schools may start calling him more
of course, if the kid puts it on twitter that’s different

Exactly, Stoops hit the ground running. He is clearly elevated UK status in recruiting by getting these guys to come check us out. The difference will be made after 2 yrs with Stoops at the helm. It is not easy climbing out of the bottom of the barrel…but I say Stoops has UK in a bowl second year here and then improves upon that in year 3 and 4.

I agree, when a kid hasn’t made it public, sometimes it’s just best to keep your mouth shut. He probably won’t come to campus now cuz Nebraska coaches are gonna be all over him now.

This is more of a reason to love what Stoops is able to do. Guy already seems to be a recruiting dynamo….or at least as much of one as we could have expected.

Is there not some code of honor among college football coaches? Once a kid comitts should other coaches not back off and honor that decision? Not in favor of this style of recruiting! Win but do it with class.

Great, from his last twitter remarks sounds like the kid might not be considering taking a visit now. It seems like he wanted this to be on the down low and now that BBN has been blowing up his twitter account he is nervous and overwhelmed. Hope I am wrong.
