Looks like the weekend is ending on an upswing. Javess Blue, a JUCO wide receiver, has committed to Kentucky. Blue, who was also considering offers from Arizona State, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and West Virginia, is rated four stars by ESPN and could start for Kentucky next year. According to our own Rashawn Franklin:
This JUCO WR (Butler County C.C., Kansas) is one of the more sought after prospects in this class. He is a big wide receiver with great hands. Blue is also a precise route runner, who has the strength to shake off would-be tacklers to get yards after the catch. He’d be a great addition to Kentucky’s offense… and ready to contribute immediately. He and offensive coordinator Neal Brown are familiar with each other from his visit to Texas Tech in early December.
ESPN also calls Blue “an explosive playmaker as an outside threat and punt return specialist” with “the skill set to be an immediate contributor and possible impact guy in the right situation.”

We need more 4 & 3 stars to compete in the SEC in FB. Look at UL, within a few years of Kragthorpe decimating them, Strong signed a few 3 and 4 stars and they take Florida to the woodshed. Joker settled for 1,2 and 3 stars and that is too much to overcome in the SEC.

This is a great addition to the team and the other JUCO players already coming on board. Would love to have Samples and Woulard as well!! Keep ‘em comin’ Stoops!! Come on Ryan, you know you want to wear the Blue and White and be part of something really special. Love the direction we are going and can’t wait for signing day and then the spring game!! Go ‘Cats!!!

Matt owes all us die hard football fans an apology. Has said time and time again that we can’t consistently recruit high caliber players at Kentucky. It might never be UF, AL, LSU level but we are going to be close. This is fun!

24. Blue Troll- I would argue that JUCO’s are more prepared to compete in D-1 than true freshmen due to the fact that they are semi-experienced. And we need players NOW, not in 2 to 3 years after being developed.

dont look now but marquez white (4* db and current florida state commit) now saying he will be flying to lex for a visit this coming weekend. we are not going to miss on all of these kids and if we get half of them we could have a very very solid class by anyone’s standards.
