High-five!
The Texas Longhorns football program is the most valuable in the country, worth $761.7 million, according to a new study from The Wall-Street Journal. The study that came up with each school’s figures evaluated revenues and expenses and made cash-flow adjustments, risk assessments and growth projections. (Where my finance majors at?!) Coming in at No. 26 is the University of Kentucky, worth a cool $202.7 million.
And wayyyyy down there at the bottom, just ahead of Washington State at No. 60, you’ll find the University of Louisville with an estimated value of $75.4 million — or 37.7 million Mad Dog 20/20s, to them.

January 7th, 2013 at 2:22 pm

January 7th, 2013 at 2:24 pm
It is true!!! Little brothers are jealous!!! Think it’s funny that UL fans come on this site. You know how many times i have been on a Tards website??? Zero!!!! They probably don’t have one anyway!!! Lol
January 7th, 2013 at 2:24 pm
#26 and yet historical results of a ranking something 3 times that…
January 7th, 2013 at 2:26 pm
that video never gets old. makes me laugh every time. reminds me of chris farley.
January 7th, 2013 at 2:27 pm
Really shows the power of UK’s fanbase and potential, rather than on-the-field results. This is why I think UK can be successful given the right coach and the right support. Hopefully the Stoops era is just that!
January 7th, 2013 at 2:28 pm
Let’s hang a banner!!
January 7th, 2013 at 2:33 pm
I just hope falling-down-guy didn’t crush anyone. Can we get an AFV “No one was hurt in this video”?!
January 7th, 2013 at 2:33 pm
UL fans never got they take in more then they spend which made them the most profitable on a % bases, it never meant you made more revenue.

Jorts waived
January 7th, 2013 at 2:49 pm
SEC TV Contracts. I would bet that all the SEC teams are in the top 30.
January 7th, 2013 at 2:49 pm
Can we sell the program and use the money to renovate Rupp?
January 7th, 2013 at 2:51 pm
And so are the Chicago Cubs.
January 7th, 2013 at 2:54 pm
My favorite is the guy who watches and smiles as it all transpires…haha
January 7th, 2013 at 3:05 pm
Yawn……According to the report, U of L basketball is currently valued at $36.1 million with an average profit of $23.2 million. The value of the program has grown by 39% over the past two years.
January 7th, 2013 at 3:14 pm
This is true. We have top 25 fan base & top 25 facilities as well. You know what we don’t have though, a top 25 program. This goes to show that UK should be good at least sometime. UK is an underachieving FB program.
January 7th, 2013 at 3:31 pm
the guy on the left isnt even phased
January 7th, 2013 at 3:41 pm
Hey numb nutz. I hate U of L as much as any here, but what in the hell are you all gloating over? THEY are currently the better program, and if you disagree, just go back and look at their bowl score against then ranked #3 Florida. We haven’t been competitive with Florida in years. They are producing NOW, and we are not. Now Stoops sure as HELL looks like he’ll turn things around, but we have to do it in the hardest conference in the country. We can double our talent pool and win no more games than this year, that’s how tough the SEC is. So until WE get some of the same results THEY are getting, we should be quiet because we look like idiots. Just like HOO when he comes here to brag about IU basketball when they haven’t actually achieved a damn thing in years.
January 7th, 2013 at 3:57 pm
According to rivals updated class rankings for football, UK class is ranked 52 and UL is 56 not impressed
January 7th, 2013 at 4:04 pm
Hahahahah…even IU football is worth more than UofL. That’s sad.
January 7th, 2013 at 4:42 pm
Almost as lopsided as next seasons, preseason football rankings….
January 7th, 2013 at 4:52 pm
#21 UL will end up at least 20 spots ahead of UK….wait and see.
January 7th, 2013 at 6:48 pm
Hey Drew,
#20 surely is a Filthy Card Troll. Who gives a rats ass how many games the Filthy Cards win. Thank God for MAD DOG 20/20! I’ve disposed of a few bottles back when and if the store was out, Richard’s Wild Irish Rose or Port or Ripple. Even if I drank a quart of MAD DOG i still would hate those filthy Cards!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I get up in the morning I go to the closet and say to myelf, self! Do I wear Blue and White today? or do I wear White and Blue?
January 7th, 2013 at 8:35 pm
#20 your a complete idiot! LOSERVILLE’s football program doesnt hold a candle to UK’s! I would much rather be the worst team in the best conference than the best team in the worst conference! UK would have won the BigLEAST every year for the past 10 years. Big woop that they beat Florida, they would never have beat them if they played them in the part of the season that we do because they would be all beat up. LOSERVILLES football is a complete joke and this just proves it!

#26 32-14 SUGAR BOWL BCS TROPHY…..Let it BURN!!! 60 plus years of NOTHING in the $EC except a sore butt from being raped 8 times a year as the DOORMAT!

Unchain the hounds from the rusted Z-28 on blocks and put down the Meth Pipe!!
January 8th, 2013 at 7:09 am
Got TWO BCS Trophys in 7 years??? WE DO!!!!
Yeah…we are ALL impressed with that 10-7 win over a 5-7 UT team ONCE in 27 years!!!
You clowns will print anything on a Wal-Mart t-shirt we at UL use for butt wipes!!
Beat Florida and we will talk…better do it QUICK. I don’t have 27 more years to wait!
January 8th, 2013 at 7:18 am
When are the 1950 National Champions UK Football t-shirts going to get printed? What? 63 years ain’t enough time?? K-Mart needs the business.Every trailer in KY ought to have a dozen laying around.
January 8th, 2013 at 7:24 am
#20 What you said. There is a reason no one ever does a TV show called “lifestyles of broke doublewide dwellers”
January 8th, 2013 at 7:29 am
#18 Yep. IF UK has that high of a revenue base WHY do we still suck so bad at football? You would think with that kind of money we could beat WKU….RIGHT?
January 8th, 2013 at 7:32 am
Shouldn’t UK football be ranked no less than 26th EVERY year?????
January 8th, 2013 at 7:33 am
I smell bull chit. No one can possibly waste that kind of money every year except Frankfort.
January 8th, 2013 at 7:35 am
“I am an fat idiot loser”
January 8th, 2013 at 7:53 am
#26 WOW!!! Your dreams have come true!!! UK IS the worst team in the best conferance. Happy now?
