In a day chalk full of recruiting news, especially when one of them is a 5-star basketball prospect expecting to choose Kentucky, it’s easy to have some news get lost in the shuffle. It should be noted though that Cincinnati LaSalle High School star Jaleel Hytchye (pronounced “height” followed by a “ch” sound) will decide at 7pm tonight between 3 schools; Kentucky, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee.
Hytchye is rated as a 4-star prospect by ESPN, and the scouting service also ranks him as the 24th best DB prospect in the country, and the 20th ranked player in the state of Ohio. Hytchye stands at 5’11 160lbs. and has been clocked running a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. He was being recruited by the previous staff at Kentucky but not until Mark Stoops and Co. came to town has his interest in signing with the ‘Cats been significant.
For those of you KSR readers in the Cincinnati area, Jaleel will be announcing his decision live on the LaSalle Sports radio network, WLSN at 7pm before the LaSalle basketball team’s home game against Oak Hills. Also, a shoutout to @UKBleedingBlue is in order for pointing out that you can listen to the live stream of the decision online as well on LaSalle’s Radio website.
Watch him do work:

Why does UL have Nike tshirts for the sugar bowl? Just wondering since they are an Adidas school.

It’s “chock full”, not “chalk full”.

2. Brands like Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and Russell Athletic place bids on becoming the “official” t-shirt of the Bowl. They work to aquire that licenses. It appears Nike would be that of the Sugar Bowl.

Has this recruit even been on our campus?

He visited last season for Junior Day on an unofficial, but hasn’t been back since the new staff took over. The only official he took was to Pittsburgh. Mike Cassity was his original recruiter but Vince Marrow’s been the one recruiting him lately

Thanks 4. Just though a Louisville Nike shirt was a dumb combination. But I remember the official shirts of the ’98 championship being starter.
