Rupp Arena was mostly filled with fans watching a Kentucky basketball game today, but they got a little football sprinkled in to the game as well. The “Stoops Era” posters above were handed out to the fans at the game this afternoon. Stoops was on hand as well to entertain some exciting football recruits with the help of his newly acquired staff.
Stoops enjoyed his first game at Rupp, standing in as the “Y” in the second half. The crowd greeted him with a standing ovation and a chanting of “STOOOOOOOOOPS!” Did you hear that, Ryan Timmons?

After Noel visits sick children, Tipton probably calls them to remind them they’re sick. I know he’s a supposed hall of fame journalist, but in the 15 years I’ve been in Lexington, I’ve not really seen anything worth mentioning from Tipton. His formula seems to be doing 3 things: Recap the game, spin negative to seem to be doing “serious” journalism, and try (unsuccessfully) to dig up dirt, i.e. the Patterson truck incident.
