recruiting news….UK needs a lot of really good players. Pick any publication (rivals, scout,…) and start making calls after reviewing the all 3, 4 and 5 star prospects. Offer them a chance to play in the SEC and right now. There is your recruiting news.

Like 1 said, if that’s the right image, unless he’s got Greg Oden syndrome, I assume he went back to finish school in his 40s.
December 11th, 2012 at 11:27 am
Looks like he played too many games without a helmet

2- Give it some time, you have to have a coaching staff first. Plus we know they have at least met with Quick and Timmons, and I’m sure more, we just don’t hear about it. The players will come in time.

#1 Do you know what Steely Dan is? LOL (not the band, but what the name is derived from?)
December 11th, 2012 at 11:39 am
I’m guessing Mr. Marrow’s nickname is “Bone”
December 11th, 2012 at 11:46 am
I heard Petrino is looking for a “tight ends” coach
December 11th, 2012 at 11:47 am
I like this hire. I’m sure he will bring experience just like the other hires have to the staff. Hope the guy is a good recruiter like the rest.

2 – FYI….the current recruiting class is still going to be 70-90% Joker’s.
With 14 of roughly 18-20 guys already committed to the old regime, I don’t think anyone should expect tons of commitments unless some of the current recruits are told they won’t have a full scholarship anymore.

Could someone provide an update for all of the filled vs. open coaching positions?
December 11th, 2012 at 11:53 am
Vince “six lips” marrow
December 11th, 2012 at 11:53 am
According to rivals… he had 5 commits for Nebraska this year. All from Ohio.
December 11th, 2012 at 11:55 am
You should probably mention that this guy spent the entire 90′s in the nfl and has had some jobs with lesser football leagues over the years along with a high school and now two colleges(toledo& Nebraska) he is a GA to get a foot in the door for college coaching that’s how all college coaches start out.
December 11th, 2012 at 12:05 pm
I was wondering what happened to the guy from Good Burger
December 11th, 2012 at 12:25 pm
#14 I’m picking up what you are putting down thats some funny stuff man

Great hire the best tight end coach in football recruiting is his thing too one of the best recruters in the college game. BBN does it again we set our sights on the brightest and best coaches in football and they come running. Sorry Bobby we didn’t want you we are UK football we are the needle.
December 11th, 2012 at 12:32 pm
Another home run. Who else could put together such a fantastic group of guys, most whom are taking on positions they’ve never held before, and end up with the best football staff in history. UK’s football recruiting will soon match, and maybe surpass that, of the basketball program.
December 11th, 2012 at 12:32 pm
He ain’t no Joker, I cannot be seen around town with him.
December 11th, 2012 at 12:49 pm
His wife is a Dr. and he doesn’t need the income. Good recruiter too. I wish Bo would have offered him a full time job.
December 11th, 2012 at 1:02 pm
Muschamp,Strong and Jumbo,Taggert and any other coach the sunshine state is under seize now by the BBN, we will allow you to pick over our left overs.Heard a Nfl scouting office and Rival.com offices are moving to the nutter facitliy. Due to the expected influx of 4 & 5 stars committing to Uk football.
December 11th, 2012 at 1:05 pm
#20 Staff looks good, but I don’t get your comment that “such a fantastic group of guys” are “taking on positions that they’ve never held before”. Are you saying that’s a good thing? Uhh, UK football recruiting, at least in our lifetime, will not surpass basketball recruiting unless of course Gillispie makes a return to UK bball.

#23 put down the LSD
December 11th, 2012 at 1:10 pm
They may have played football together at Cardinal Mooney, but that dude looks like Paul Mooney from Chappelle Show.
December 11th, 2012 at 1:11 pm
Does that mean the FSU off. coordinator is out of the mix to be associate head coach? I believe he coaches TE?
December 11th, 2012 at 1:15 pm
#25 trying to stay within ksr guidelines :UK football comments brought to you in the most ridiculos manner possible.
December 11th, 2012 at 2:01 pm
#10, He makes them into a “wide receiver”.
December 11th, 2012 at 2:07 pm
I think Stoops will do a good job and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the staff he is putting together. We haven’t played a game yet but the program is going in the right direction. I think everybody can agree on that. That said if things don’t work as smoothly as we all hope and the L’s come more then the wins and WKU has success what will be the reaction? Will the fan base give Barnhart a pass?
From just listening to people talk I think there was a lot larger part of the fan base that wanted Petrino then what the media reported. That’s okay KSR, the LHL, and other UK fan pages need a good relationship with the AD to get the news to keep them going. So naturally they will steer their story’s more to what Barnhart wants and rightfully so. Hope Stoops wins big and none of this matters. I think the SEC as a whole blackballed Petrino so I don’t fault Barnhart for not going down that road but if WKU stays ahead of UK bad days could lie awaiting Mitch.

Vince is related to Maurice Clarett and was his spokesperson during the whole time at OSU. He is an interesting character. He does not lack in self admiration, but he does have a lot of connections in Ohio especially. He likes the attention and will make himself known while at UK. I’m interested to see if he can coach at this level, as his experiences have been mostly with younger kids in Columbus.

Great hire. He was Bo Pelini’s head recruiter for the state of Ohio.
