Ryan Harrow is back, happy to be with #lafamilia

by @ 2:00 pm. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

I see you, Mark Krebs…

One of the highlights of my weekend was hearing the news that Ryan Harrow had returned to campus. After a mysterious two-week illness and trip home over the Thanksgiving holiday, Harrow is back and practiced with the team on Sunday. Harrow sat down with CoachCal.com to discuss how he’s feeling. Click the pic above to go check it out.

Highlights:

– Harrow said he couldn’t stop smiling on Sunday because he was so happy to be back on the court and with his teammates.
– He also said the illness was not mono, and that he’s finally getting his energy back
– He refused to disclose any information about his trip home, calling it a “personal matter”
– He knows he will have to earn playing time during practice and compete to get back on the court.
– Best part? He said the word “happy” seven times.

Welcome back, Ryan.

Good…..Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to work!

  2. JKUK Says:

    Good to hear.

  3. GoCats2 Says:

He just needs to have Julius carry him around on his back for a few days and he will be fine.

  4. catlogic15 Says:

This beats any football coaching news any day.

I just hope he’s still smiling when Cal rips his ass in practice for whatever.

  5. RIP Mel Turpin Says:

Happy, happy, happy! Ryan we are thankful that Thanksgiving went well and that you are back in Lexington! We are behind you 100% young man. Go get em and make us proud.

  6. 44 Stitches Says:

Glad he’s healthy enough to get back on the court and hope his family/personal matter is all good as well. Glad to have Harrow back.

  7. HA! Says:

“It definitely wasn’t mono”…you hear that, KSR doctors? lol

  8. Dr. Funke Says:

I’m glad he’s back. The way goodwin has been running the team, it will be tough for him to win back that spot however.

  9. Steve Barnett Says:

Glad to have you back Ryan!

  10. asdf Says:

This may all work out for the best in the long run. Goodwin and Mays both got quality time at the point. Polson became a contributer. Add Harrow in to the mix again and we should be solid at the point all season.

  11. bsquared Says:

Someone has a baby on the way

  12. UKUKUK1865 Says:

This can’t be true. I read it right here on the KSR that he was transferring because he couldn’t hack it and had AIDS and cancer and dandruff in his fade. Idiots.

  13. DEasy Says:

    11. Agreed. Wrap it ‘fore you tap it my man.

  14. fish on Says:

yes!!! with harrow back ithink that physically we have a complete team… we have all the pieces we need to make a serious run at #9. only thing lacking is the experience, wich nothing can be done about that except just play ball… fix that rebounding problem. would be nice if 1 guy steps up and becomes a major rebounder… Poythress?

  15. Korean Tacos Says:

But…but…I though he was transferring. Posters with “sources” told me he had already left campus. Surely, they weren’t wrong or making things up

  16. Tim Tebow Says:

    I happily approve this message

  17. L Dub Says:

All you need to do is read the 2000 tweets he has sent out since Saturday. He was broken hearted is what it seems like to me. He needs to focus. He is Cal’s point gaurd. We don’t have time for broken hearts. If he was really ill, then I hope he is better. We got to get #9. You in Harrow???

  18. bmt22033 Says:

I’m glad to see that he’s back and appears to be happy. I was pretty convinced that he was leaving. Sometimes, you’re glad to be proven wrong. :-)

  19. Uk Says:

17, he doesnt have a twitter.

  20. bmt22033 Says:

@17 – you realize that he doesn’t have a Twitter account, right?

  21. Manny Thomas Says:

So glad to hear it! KentuckyBasketballForum.com had a fantastic article about Harrow today as well. It’s a good read if you like Harrow.

  22. BobbyPetrinosNeckBrace Says:

11 and 13..Ding, Ding, Ding. Little one on the way.

  23. L Dub Says:

    #20 I didn’t. @12harrow is a fake??

  24. Lugoquartet Says:

#23. That is correct. All Harrow twitter accounts are fake. He does not have a twitter account.

  25. JaredCarterIsMyHomeboy Says:

23 – Its fake. Follow Coach Orlando Antigua on twitter, he said as much last couple of days.

  33. mudcreekmark Says:

Don’t know what happened the last couple of weeks and at this time I really don’t care. If Coach Cal is good with him then so am I. I just hope he comes back even better than before. I heard rumblings last year that he was tearing them up in pick up games going against Teague among others.
