5- It’s Cal’s youngest team. Hard to tell if this is his worst. I will say one thing. I knew we were going to win it all last year. Had no doubt in my mind.
This year, it’s going to be sweet watching all these trolls implode when this team is clicking in harmony. This team has yet to build solid chemistry. Yet….

Matt Jones is so dumb. Posted on twitter that all commits will sign LOIs today. There was a post a couple days ago saying the Harrison twins won’t be signing LOIs, but will sign scholarship papers. Does he read his own site?

If Harrow comes on strong, this team will be very, very good and may be able to bring us #9. The players will develop as Cal’s players always do. It’s very early right now. Really need Harrow back. Noel is amazingly quick for a big man. I think Noel is going to be my favorite because of his determination. Goodwin reminds me of John Wall (great athlete) but is more aggressive and can shoot better. Wall had more body control, though, and was quicker. I think Goodwin jumps higher than Wall. This team could be great. We just have to be patient. They will be playing well when tournament comes around. Just need Harrow in there learning right now.

Too much one-on-one! set screens, reverse the ball, and get the open looks for Wiltjer, Goodwin, and Mays!
Best play of the night, was when Noel flashed to the free throw line, caught a pass, pivoted, and hit Poythress for the dunk! This team is just going to keep getting better, and better!

17… uh, yeah, but 3′s are about 33% at best and dunks about 98%. So try 100 of each and see which one nets you more points.
Dunks mean you’re being aggressive and getting to the rim. 3′s often mean you’re settling for bad shots because you’re impatient or you can’t get anything better.

RYNO – the report on this site that the twins wouldn’t sign LOI’s was from a USA today source. They could and probably will sign LOI’s today. It’s called an update in the story or conflicting information. Also, if you hate Matt Jones so much why do you spend enough time on his site to read and respond to things?

What is everyone talking about? You will never convince me that Cal’s second team had more talent than this one. Just because they went to the final four does not mean they were a top four team. In fact, at thi point in the season these guys look even better than the John Wall team. Go back and watch their first couple games when we could barely beat Miami of Ohio if you don’t believe me.

Let’s look at it this way – UK was a glorified scrimmage team that has practiced together maybe a couple dozen times, without their point guard. This team was a made Julius Mays 3-pointer away from completing a late second half comeback against a veteran Duke team that many are predicting to be a threat to be an Elite Eight team or better. If this team continues to develop, and Harrow is able to return and develops even half as well as a “normal” Cal PG, then I like our chances in the Dance this spring.
