Cal will be forced to have to run off the ball screening for Mays and Wiltjer. Two good shooters struggling too much to find an open look.

Two points from tonight’s game:
1. There was a lot of discussion after last game that the we were giving up so many offensive rebounds b/c the other team was missing shots so badly it was tough to rebound, I disagree. As obvious again tonight we continue to attempt to block too many shots off the ball which puts us out of position to rebound. Many time tonight 3 guys attempted to block the shot unsuccessfully leaving no one in position to rebound.
2. I know that Cal doesn’t like to run set plays, however if is going to continue to play Kyle Wiltjer he is going to have to do something to get him open looks. Duke face guarded Wiltjer off the ball the entire game and unfortunately he is not quick enough to get open on his own. If Kyle is not getting looks on offense, then he is going to struggle to help the team.

Not fair to call Archie Goodwin a ball hog. Drew criticizing Archie for trying to pass up a point-blank dunk? Archie is far from a ball hog. He is a scorer trying to help his team. Other guys need to step up their games for him to be able to defer more to teammates. Please don’t call him a ball hog. That would really affect his play in a negative way if he feels like people are calling him selfish. You do not want to take his aggresive mindset away. Cal will help him see the floor a little better but this kid was born to be a major scorer.
