Wow, just told we raised nearly $500k for tonight’s telethon and that doesn’t even include the help of @papajohns and online auction numbers

As always, the #BBN came through. My hope is we give a check for $1 million in NYC on Friday. Thank you!!!

Pat yourself on the back, Big Blue Nation. You came together again to help others when they need it most.

GO CATS!

Pretty cool that BBN will end up donating more money to the relief than the New York Giants

Great News!
Did I win the Harley?

I’m just glad Cal donates and does good deeds in private like the Bible talks about. He doesn’t seek man’s approval and pat on the back. I’m sure Jesus is proud of him. Well done coach.

So, #4… you’re saying Cal would have been more effective not telling anyone to donate? You’ve obviously figured this out. Go Calipari, and Go Cats. Proud to be a part of the BBN.

Why didn’t he just hit up Jay Z and Drake for that money? Since they are liberal and are charitable, I’m sure they could have easily given that amount of money without breaking a sweat. Could have given the funds in secret and stayed humble

Just awesome. Way to go BBN.
November 7th, 2012 at 10:42 pm
thanks to you Cal and everyone involved in this effort. hoping the people on the east coast in need are getting the food, shelter and comfort they need tonight. i’m thanking God that tonight my family will sleep in warm beds with food in pantry for tomorrow. praying for safe travels for our team and anyone on the northern atlantic coast this week. GO UK, GO BBN!

Good work cal, team, and all who donated. It is a very worthy cause. As for some of the comments, you dont know if drake, jz, and or cal are giving additional money in private. All of the call in donations were double by big donors. Btw giving isnt alway benificial for the recipient but can also effect the heart of the giver. Shame on anyone who tries to find the negitive in such a selfless act of giving.

4- In private? It was a telethon.

Any ideas on a UK bar in St. Pete/Tampa for the game Friday?
November 7th, 2012 at 10:56 pm
#11) u can’t go wrong with Players Sports Bar in St Pete
November 7th, 2012 at 11:03 pm
All of the idiots on here that find fault with the Cats and Cal doing charity should really be proud of themselves….did you also go slap some orphans today? Did you also go kick some puppies? Abuse old ladies? You must be sucky IU and UofL fans. What has Crean and Pitino done to help? Maybe Pitino could pay for abortions for victims of hurricane Sandy and Crean could send some creepy texts saying he’s been thinking about them since this weekend. You losers needs to get a life.

Great job BBN as usual. We are the needle. While any other school would probably raise about $10,000 for a cause like this, BBN just solidifies why we are the best
November 7th, 2012 at 11:04 pm
*need to get a life.
November 7th, 2012 at 11:10 pm
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyways.
Way to go Cal, UK, and BBN! Cal puts the person before the player and life before the game.

Good for him

#6′s words of wisdom: “Why didn’t he just hit up Jay Z and Drake for that money? Since they are liberal and are charitable, I’m sure they could have easily given that amount of money without breaking a sweat. Could have given the funds in secret and stayed humble.” – Well maybe they did, but then how would we know about it if they did it in secret, Einstein? Duhhhh.

Where is old school? Oh yeah, bitching about lack of integrity and rap music. Calipari gets it. Strong work.

BBN one of gravest misnomers of ALL time, as ought to be big WHITE nation, as in white supremacists, as that’s truly what the vast majority of ALL kentuckianz truly are!!!!

Hey Drew, are you planning on resuming the “They Are Who We Thought They Were” articles? I love those things.
