[Moderated by Matt Jones]

As we say goodbye to 2008, it wouldn’t be fair to do so without a tribute of the biggest star of the Kentucky Sports Radio year. Much like Best Week Ever on Vh1, we spent a great deal of time naming the person of 2008. We gathered at the KSR compound and, as Matt Jones sat in his gold encrusted throne and clutched his sceptor made of Woo’s letters from Poland, we sat indian style around him and threw out the names of who we thought deserved it the most. From Barack Obama to Ryan “Poop Tooth” Kelly to Heidi and Spencer, the favorite names of the past few months came in a flurry and were hard to keep track of. In the end, we decided it would hinge on one factor:
Whoever has a solid tribute video that could easily be posted.
So, thanks to Dustin Smith, who created the following video, we are happy to name Josh Harrellson as our Kentucky Sports Radio Man of the Year. Mr. Smith created the following bit of comic gold, full of references to Josh’s fashion choices (can’t find the jorts pic), his love for the ladies and his affinity for dancing (bonus Harrellson pics), just days after the man himself requested a tribute video. So, ladies and gentleman, I give you your KSRMOTY.
* In case you’re reading this and feeling left out, Evan, I made up the part about us picking this together. I have a truth deficiency problem.
** I’m also assuming that “Born to be white” is intended for comedy and I’m not really falling victim to a sick KKK joke.

Question: What was that sweet ass looking college basketball video game in the music vid? Anyone know, because I must have it.

He didn’t say anything about Mama, trains, trucks, prison, or getting drunk, but…

I agree. He definatly should have been man of the year. Anybody that has a video made about them like that deserves such an honor

I think the video game is College Hoops 2k8. In the bottom left hand corner of the screen, you can see the 6th Man meter pop up, which is only featured in that game. Unfortunately, 2k8 is the last College Hoops game the company’s making, so EA’s game will be the only college basketball game in the future.
2k8 is still awesome though, because you can update the rosters online with the real player’s names! Beats the hell out of playing with numbers or fake names.

I think that was NCAA 08 for PS3.
I am not a gamer, but I will ask my brother later.

7 & 8. Thanks for the info. Being a sports video gamer, I’ve never bought a college basketball game because I’ve always heard *and have played a few*, that there are NO good college basketball game in existance. At least, I’ve never found one……….BUT…….with the newer systems that are out, maybe there’s hope yet. This ole boy started cutting his teeth on Tecmo Bowl, RBI Baseball, and NBA Live Celtics VS Lakers. Since then, it’s been mainly Madden, NCAA Football *EA*, and MLB The Show. A good college basketball game would be nice to have. Any more info from anyone would be awesome.

Yes, that was 2K8…with most likely, the roster add-on available at operationsports.com that updates the rosters to this season. Unfortunately, 2K bailed out of the college hoops market and EA is the only place to get your college basketball fix…which if you want my opinion, isn’t worth the money.
If you can find College Hoops 2k8…by all means, purchase it. You won’t be disappointed.

As for this video…reminds me of American Pie…
“Tell me he didn’t take out the TV?”
“Yes, he took out the TV.”

I’m afraid the kid with the blue wig will eventually need therapy after being subjected to participating in this video.

16: LOL, But it would be cool to see the entire eruption zone performing that “forward thrust manuever” that Dustin Smith is doing in the video. That would be hilarious.

Ok I am a huge UK fan but I have never considered doing pelvic thrusts towards the TV during a gaem. That was disturbing.
