I love the black but I always thought the grayish-silver was our unofficial 3rd color…. like the jerseys the basket-cats wore against Tennessee. Alternate uni’s = a Volunteer beatdown

Thank the Lord we have multiple uniform looks – now we don’t have to worry about suck’n at football – thanks Mitch.
Added bonus, with this many combinations – the team wont have to wear the same combo after a loss / just switch outfits…

No good college football teams have the name of the school on the Jersey!!! It is ugly. SEC is big boy football. The least we can do is look the part. Scratch the name of the jersey and keep the black out, unless it’s the entire uniform. The black/blue combos are awful.

Dig those white lids, especially with the blue jersey and white pants. Also wish we’d rock those throwback unis from a couple years ago, with the sleeve stripes and the wildcat/state logo on the helmet.

I would like to see the black mixed in here and there. I think those colors are stylish and will help with recruiting, as well as bring energy to the current players. As a perceived traditionalist, I am sure you understand why it would be ok for UK to shake things up a bit in football…

Go with the white helmet, black jersey and white pants for the UofL game. It’s far and away the best looking combo we have. A lot of recruits will be at that game, so, we certainly want to be styling for that one.

33) our original school colors were Blue and Yellow. Do you reckon anyone threw a hissy fit when white was brought in? Just sayin’, if we are going to act all traditional, then let’s go all the way back to the beginning and start the discussion.

Black? How innovative! Maybe we can change our mascot to a bird next. UK IS Blue & White. Add a 3rd accent color….that’s fine. I do like the silver. Black just doesn’t go with Blue (till post-game medical exams anyway).

Our best unis are the blue pants, white jerseys (with blue shoulders) and white helmets….. I’m sorry but that is one sexy uniform.
My second favorite would be the white on white on white… Stark white is still a great look.

As a traditionalist….BLOCK K back…..but I understand the addition of black…today recruits actually use uni’s as part of reason…with that said I like white helmet/white jersey/white pants….#BBN

#27- many great teams don’t do it, but “all” is a stretch. LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, South Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma has “Sooners” in enormous font, FSU, Oregon…there’s plenty that do have it on there.

I think the white helmet, black shirt, black pants combo looks horrible, but wouldn’t mind using it as traditional uniform against Tennessee to celebrate breaking the streak.

Black is an alternate color just like white for uniforms. Plus as someone said, recruits LOVE these kinds of uniforms. I wish we had black in our basketball uniforms before Duke. Black Jersey with blue pants looks cool. Not sure which helmet though.
