The best shot for Kentucky to win football games this season is to have Maxwell Smith under center. Period. He’s the best option for the team to get off to a good start and, at this point, Coach Phillips needs express more confidence in the guy. One interesting note at Media Day was Max Smith’s praise of the true freshman wide receiver, DeMarcus Smith. Smith, a three-star recruit (Rivals) from Georgia, could be an added playmaker for the Cats this season and Max Smith wants to take him under his wing early. The teammates will be rooming together in training camp in hopes of forming a bond, both on and off the football field. In high school, Smith was a football, basketball, and track star. He scored ten touchdowns his senior year and posted a 24 yards per catch average as junior.
Even if Sweat isn’t quite ready to produce, Max Smith has a lot more weapons at his disposal going into this year. Wide receivers DeMarco Robinson and a now healthy Daryl Collins are guys that can quickly change those offensive woes. Even the tight ends look ready to produce in abundance. Smith, like Robinson and Collins, has explosive kick and punt return ability. For a team that had absolutely no return game last season, the depth chart is now stacked with guys that can have a positive effect on special teams.
Here’s a video of Sweat abusing opposing defenses in high school:

Yeah, you use both Sweat and Smith a number of times apiece. My head is spinning.

Is it Demarcus Sweat, or Smith?
Either way, historically, what happens (& fok spurrier) is knee injury – takes out our guy.

RaShawn, mistakes are better delivered in print rather than in the hospital delivery room. Point is: use some type of protection, son.

Zeke Pike is going to transfer to da ville. The crazy thing is he will not play QB. He will be a TE.
WLEX reported it as well.
Informed sources tell AuburnUndercover.com that former Auburn quarterback Zeke Pike will transfer to Louisville. Although Louisville’s players have reported, Pike is not expected on campus until next week.
Pike will not play quarterback for the Cardinals. Instead, he will line up at tight end.
Pike will also have to sit a year since he enrolled in and attended classes at Auburn. He will not be eligible to play until 2013.

7) he is kind of a headcase. But I just looked at his Rivals profile. He had around 35 BCS offers. Almost every school in the SEC and Big 10 offered him.

No Sweat. Smith is just keeping up with the Jones. Whoa, not sure who is which, or who’s on first in this article. What the hell, you writing without shoes on?
August 3rd, 2012 at 10:34 pm
nothing like a polarizing statement about max smith to start off an article to introduce demarcus sweat/smith.
