Seems about right. One of the lowest prices due to lack of interest. On top of the fact that the dollar just isn’t worth as much as it is in states like Texas or Florida.
3- Who said anything about the lack of state taxes? My point is that a dollar will get you more in the state of Kentucky, than in those states. This due to simple economics(location, local economies, tourist attractions.) All of which contribute to higher prices in those states. It’s not an opnion, it’s a fact.
Looking at the list of the top seven football is their number one sport at each school. Our average basketball ticket prices is more than our football ticket prices.
Using the cheapest price is a fair comparison but it also skews the study- The “worst” or “cheapest” season ticket at UK is most likely alot closer to the field than one at Tenn, FL, or Bama. I bet some of the “worst” seats at those places are behind a pole. At the very least, they are simply higher up and not nearly as good of a seat as a UK Season ticket. So those people are paying more but getting alot less.
#12, If you’re looking at the actual product on the field I don’t see how you can argue how those people are getting a lot less. I’d personally rather sit behind a pole than watch whatever abomination we’re going to bring out on the field this fall.
hmmmmmmmm worst team in the SEC charges bottom dollar….makes sense to me! I would pay a lot more if there was something to pay for. Its time for fans to hold strong and force this University to do something right and long term with this football program. Either fix it or get out of the SEC for once and for all. We are not much different than Memphis or UAB.
you losers who hate on uk football are actually doing harm to the program and the school; its a bandwagon joke how some love basketball but ride the bandwagon when the football team is winning; we don’t need you or your comments; tell me something better than a day o keeneland, tailgating and uk football in the fall, 5 out of 6 bowl seasons, just shut up; or pay hundreds to watch the basketball team win by 30 over a hopelessly outmanned team; uk football is fun and the young talent on this team will be heard from for many years to come
#25 – one of the best comments I have seen here regarding football in a long time. You summed it up nicely.
Personally, I can’t wait for the season to get here! I get to see friends and diehard fans that I don’t get to see the rest of the year and you know everyone there loves the Cats! The fair weather fans stay away! GBB!

Ok #2, do you really think that the lack of state taxes in TX and FL makes that much of a difference in ticket prices?

6 huh? Football is the top sport at all SEC schools except UK, Vandy, and Missouri.

2nd lowest prices in the SEC and still, no one cares. Is it November yet?

A co-worker of mine has full season tickets to IU football for two people for only $60.

Looking at this chart Tennessee should of started a 2 for 1 deal on tickets this yr.

looks like someone at tennessee understands supply & demand.

Poor poor Cayuts.

Waa! Waa! I want good football, low ticket prices, a new stadium, but I don’t want to pay for any of it!
Geez. KY football is what it is. Love it or hate it or ignore it, just don’t complain about it.

UK should be paying fans to show up.

Simple supply and demand. People have less discretionary funds therefore lower sales. Schools prefer a filled $$ seat to an empty $$$ seat.

Take a lesson from ‘Bama, they offer a true value proposition.
