Smith came to Kentucky as a defensive tackle but he is entering his third season as starting center for the Wildcats. He missed the first two games of 2011 with a sprained ankle but returned to action against Louisville and started the final nine games of the season.
He’s played in a total of 25 games, including 22 starts.
