UK Football will be visited by four recruits this weekend — all of whom are defensive backs. The group, headlined by four-star recruit Mackensie Alexander (pictured above), are all a part of the class of 2013. Alexander is joined by his brother and teammate, Mackenroe Alexander, as well as Boaz Joseph, and Austin Logan. All four recruits are considering Kentucky and are Florida natives. The group will stay in Lexington for the entire weekend, touring the football facilities and meeting with Coach Phillips and DBs coach Mike Cassity. Phillips and company are making a concerted effort to recruit out of Florida and the trend continues with the Alexander brothers. Here is some video of Mackensie from Rivals.com:

yeah got some big time recruits there this weekend also 4 star wr corey cooper who is Friends with john wall who is visting uofl and ky this weekend

Those guys are STUDS. Maybe we should pur ‘em in the mini bus, drive them around to see season ticket holders and the holders give THEM a gift

4 – Joker isn’t going anywhere. He has Mitch’s full support and rightfully so. After we beat Louisville this year, fans will realize that Joker is here for the long haul. My hope is that we go 7-5 this year and Mitch rolls out the red carpet for Joker to the tune of a 5 year extension.

Just watched MacKensie Alexander’s highlight tape and he looks like he is in the same league as the Patrick Peterson’s Tyrone Mathiea’s of the world. If we somehow get this guy we have one of the best corner’s in the nation for the next 3 to 4 years. Shutdown corner, play maker on special teams, and this kids can pop. I think one play he hit this guy and the dude’s ear pad flew ten yards out of his helmet.
His twin brother MacKenroe looks like a good fit for our hybrid position. He needs to work on his tackling but has great instincts. Based on his film it looked like they had him play at linebacker. Have him in Winston Guy’s position should be able to maximize his run support ability.
Cooper has exellent hand eye coordination. And you can tell how he beats the press and how well he catches the ball. He catches with his hands and going full extension is no problem with him. He does not have elite speed but still gets open with ease. I hope we can get this guy.
Austin Logan fills running lanes well. Looks like he has some pop in his hits.
