Watch Twany knock down jumper after jumper in this late night workout in the Joe Craft Center. That’s Referee Guy kicking him the rock.

Really hope he is able to contribute this year.
July 17th, 2012 at 12:13 pm
Gotta love the work Twany is putting in over the summer. He could be a big asset coming off the bench and putting in some minutes here and there. 87 days until Big Blue Madness!
July 17th, 2012 at 12:15 pm
has twan ever heard of a dribble i counted 15 travles before a made jumper
July 17th, 2012 at 12:16 pm
If Twany’s idea of improving as a player is practicing 15ft set shots all night, I don’t what to tell him. How do you get a scholarship to UK with no jump shot?
July 17th, 2012 at 12:24 pm
There you go, Twany! Your hard work will pay off.
4. You’re ignorant to think that’s all he does. Moron, go back to the Cards message boards.

good work…but he walks

“Twanny Beckham works out with Refer Guy”
- Puttin up 200 doobs a day
- Gets high on his dunks
- Smokes his defenders
Yeah, Refer Guy +1
July 17th, 2012 at 12:26 pm
Hard to believe there are negative reactions to Twany trying to improve his game. Wow…
July 17th, 2012 at 12:31 pm
4) Until a guy can hit 100% in game from 15ft he needs to practice on it from time to time…tard. I hope showtime Twany Beckham gets a chance this year. I think he is good enough for more than just mop up duty if needed. I would love to see Hood, Beckham, and Polson have big years this year. I root for those kids. One will need to step up this year (probably Hood) b/c I see depth as being the only issue right now.
July 17th, 2012 at 12:35 pm
kid’s putting in work. working on offense in the summer so if he improves his defense this fall he has a real shot at PT this season.
July 17th, 2012 at 12:40 pm
I thinks it funny how when the players post funny videos of them messing around and having fun and people say they should be in the gym practicing, but then when a player actually is practicing in the gym he gets criticized. Hard to believe.

No, its not hard to beleive, just the nature of the beast!

#9 I think you will agree that depth has not been an issue with Cal teams so far and that trend will continue this season. We just won a national championship playing basically 6 players. 7 I guess if you add Eloy and Kyle together. Depth in college basketball has always been a myth. With 4 tv timeouts per half plus 5 for each time, depth is not what wins your titles. If you need proof ask Syracuse how much their deep team helped them last year? Just to refresh your memory, they lost to Ohio state for cryin out loud. Keep working Twany! You will get Eloy minutes this year, if you can steal them from John Hood.

It does look like he traveled a lot. He also brings the ball in front of his face during his motion. Kind of like Terrence Jones, I wonder if it’s a lefty thing.
At any rate this team isn’t going to look for a lot of offense from Beckham. The only time we really want him taking a shot is when he is open enough to get off a set-shot, or a wide open layup. Otherwise he should be looking for Goodwin, Poythress, Wiltjer, etc. to get a shot.

I hope he can work his way into the rotation, and get some quality minutes. Super nice guy, he was at Rondo’s basketball camp this past Friday.
My son got a picture with him and got to hold his NCAA championship ring.

Two words, — Jump Stop

July 17th, 2012 at 1:49 pm
13) I agree…unless someone gets injured.
July 17th, 2012 at 1:55 pm
Good work Twany. Hang in there. Your time will come this season at a very crucial moment.
July 17th, 2012 at 2:07 pm
17- Irony?
July 17th, 2012 at 2:49 pm
Twanny-dollar bill yall! Cmon what other team Is so dedicated that their 9th man Is at the gym at 2am with students helping them work out.
July 17th, 2012 at 3:04 pm
Sometimes it sucks being a UK fan because your grouped in with the massive amounts of idiot Uk fans. Kid is working his ass off to get better, harder than 99% of people have worked at anything in their whole life. I have coached it and played it and totally understand the sacrifices it takes to be successful. Twany i know you will be rewarded for this effort either at UK or in life. Much respect from a true UK fan. Go cats!
July 17th, 2012 at 3:21 pm
Is it just me or does he have terribly sloppy form on his shot? He fades to his right when he shoots and doesn’t jump very high. Not sure this is what he does in a game but if you practice like you play… Not saying he’s not working hard, but the shot form would be something I would have thought they would be working with him on.
July 17th, 2012 at 3:30 pm
We can all hope he can be solid contributor this upcoming year. That would be a great surprise, but do not like the filming of it as he obviously needs to be in there a lot. Hope this is regular thing for him and not a one time event that got filmed and put on here. I was also wondering as it did appear on alot of those jumpshots he was taking too many steps. If twany can be a contributor it’ll make us that more dangerous, GO CATS!
July 17th, 2012 at 5:16 pm
With that kind of work, Twany will probably improve from shooting 0-for-1 last year to 1-for-1 this year. zzzzzzzz
July 17th, 2012 at 6:29 pm
Tough crowd…
July 18th, 2012 at 11:06 pm
2 things: 1, I’m glad he’s working on his shot. He could contribute this year. 2, You don’t practice with your ice in your ears. 2am on the court practicing with diamond studs? Could be a warning sign.
