I am all for the new Twitter trash talk between UK and UL football players. The rivalry seems to have really gained steam and the players seem to genuinely not like each other. That I support. But I wonder what Louisville Coach Charlie Strong and his famous “Five Core Values” would think about calling Kentucky, “KenF*cky” in a public forum? Either way, George Durant probably will at some point regret that tweet.

Its the Commonwealth’s university and last time I looked Louisville is in the Commonwealth so I guess we can put up billboards wherever we want. And I’m sure there are more UK fans in Louisville than U of L, especially if you count visitors from around the state that go there.

Maybe Boy George Durant should take a Geograhpy class at Commuter U and he would learn that Louisville is actually in the state of KENTUCKY; therefore there are many UK fans in the shitty city of Louisville…explaining the UK billboards in Louisville. Perhaps he should be more concerned with what has happened to the conference he plays in…it is only one notch above Division II.

Hey Troll Jill, I NEVER SAID UK WAS GOOD AT FOOTBALL…Yeah I admit we suck at football. But guess what, SO DOES UOFL!!! I stand by my comment that the “New Big East” football conference is only one notch above Division II. What I find to be really funny is how all these UOFL fans really think they have a great football program. If UOFL is so great, why did the SEC, Big 12, and ACC pass you guys over when all the conference expansion took place? I mean seriously, teams like TCU, WVU Missouri and Syracuse got picked over you guys. Tell me another thing, if UOFL is so great at football, why has UK beaten UOFL 4 out of the last 5 years? By way sweety, that team that beat us in our last bowl game(PITT) is LEAVING YOUR WEAK DIVISION II CONFERENCE!!! HAHAHAHAHA. #26…conference alignment not done yet, so be careful you may be eating those words…the reason UK won last 4 out of 5…Kragthorpe…why did we win 7 out of 8 prior to Kragthorpe? And BTW “sweety” Pitt is still in our conference and on our schedule this year….LOL..UL sucks in football and basketball..let’s see we are ranked #1 for 12 for basketball and ranked in top 30 in football in many polls…I guess teams that go to FF4 suck…so, UK must have suck 2 years ago….don’t be so easy…..

Hey Jill, one of those wins came against Strong so don’t blame all of it on Krapthorpe. Also, I have to agree with the earlier posts, Loserville does suck at football and basketball. You guys have not won a National Championship since 1986. Where you even alive then? As far as conference realignment goes, no conference wants an inferior commuter school like Loserville. The earlier post is correct, PITT is leaving your conference next season. Also, Loserville is not ranked #1 for 12. 12 was last season. Loserville is ranked in the top five for the 2013 season. Yeah you guys got to the final four this year but that doesn’t mean you still don’t suck. Look at some of teams that have gone recently(George Mason, Butler, VCU and now Loserville). You guys may have gone to the fianl four, but don’t forget who knocked your a$$ out of the final four…..KENTUCKY. Who won the championship….KENTUCKY. Looks like you are the one being easy. Maybe you are easy? Are you?

I am jealous of UK. They are better than U of L at everything. I wish I were a UK fan but I would rather watch a team lose sometimes. I mean, UK wins at everything and has much better facilities. U of L built a new arena and it still doesn’t hold as many as Rupp and our pizza box football stadium holds about half as many as Commonwealth. But hey, we sell beer to help lessen the effects of all of our losses.

The greatest thing about this website is the comment threads. So much babble. So. Much. Babble. Look @ 50: UK “wins at everything”.. You mean.. basketball and competitive cheerleading? The “pizza box stadium” which holds about half as many as commonwealth.. 55,000 to 68,000.. Your math is terrible. I mean, really terrible.
You’re kidding yourself to insinuate that Louisville fans are the only ones who see the football program rising, and should check some preseason rankings (something that Kentucky’s football program has quite literally never seen). The Kragthorpe years threw a wrench in the chugging engine of Louisville football that had shown itself early last decade, but it’s quite clear that a warranted national buzz surrounds Cardinal football and Charlie Strong, a “thug” of championship pedigree, who’s absolutely slaughtering Joker on the recruiting trail.
But alas, I get it. You guys won a national title and so you’re entitled to the false sense of supremacy UK fans typically apply to almost any accolade. Still, it won’t change the fact that we have a substantially better Athletic Director whose focus lies in more than one sport, facilities that blow those in Lexington right out of the water, and an overall academic portfolio that far surpasses that of Kentucky’s, and is literally more attractive in each sport outside of college hoops.
Being the flagship university in a commonwealth which finds itself struggling to survive has given you all quite the historical advantage in the 100-year look, but, when broken down over the past 40 years, you’ll find it quite difficult to consider your university the better of the two. And, being the flagship university of Kentucky is a pretty similar knock to being the best football team in the Big East. You’re like the most loved child of the Manson Family.

Hey Jill, UK is better than UL at every sport…always have been, always will be. Point Blank Period. Your posting over on our site confirms this. If your program was worth a shit or had anything positive going on, you would be over on a cardinal site(if one exists) communicating with other cards fans. But instead, you have such envy for UK that feel compelled run your mouth about things you know nothing about. You think UL football is so great, then tell why the head to head series is about even. And with basketball, UK has a commanding lead in the head to head series. I don’t know but maybe your poker team or checkers team may be better but who gives a damn. You all do realize that uofl is actually more historically significant then uofk as it was actually founded in 1798 while uofk was in 1865. The only reason that that it was considered the flagship was due to the fact that uofk was majorly funded by the state while uofl was funded by the city and is noted to be the first ever public institute of learning owned and funded by a city rather than the state. This little brother crap can be put to rest as technically we are your elder. Comparing Sports wise we are excelling in all of our sports except basketball (though we are still far above average, you all were the better team last year). Football wise the only reason that you alp lead the over all series is due to your alls success in the early years, though it is noted by Jill that uofl leads the modern series (1994 to present) 10-7. I am excited to see the hostility brewing and that is what brings a majority of fans to look at both sides of the battle.
Excited for Sept 2. Let the battle for the bluegrass get started already. Go Cards!
