Class of 2013 star Chris Walker, a 6-9, 210-pound combo forward from Florida, recently sat down with the people at SLAM Online to talk about a number of things, including tattoos, the strengths of his game, and his plans for the rest of summer. The No. 5 overall player in Scout.com’s rankings told SLAM he plans to schedule visits to all seven schools on his list at the end of the summer and then make a decision. He is considering Kentucky, Florida, Kansas, Ohio State, Baylor, Louisville and Syracuse. Walker says his plan is to commit at the end of the summer or right at the beginning of the school year, so he can enjoy his senior year of high school without the pressure of recruiting.
He’s still waiting for a scholarship offer from Kentucky, but he believes it will come soon.

It’s hard to tell from this highlight tape, but I didn’t see anything real exciting. Most of what he does in this video is a product of him clearly being much bigger than the opposing players. That won’t be the case in college. I trust Cal to do what’s right.

SLAM Online needs to talk to Drew Franklin about why Jonathan Schuette gets to post crap on KSR.

Why are we even considering Mamadou Ndiaye when a stud like this is waiting for a scholarship?

I’ve followed this kid for a while and believe he’d be a good fit at UK for more than a few reasons. Unfortunately for him the 2013 class has a ton of superstars and Cal is working all the angles. I’ve worried before about Cal’s methods and been proven wrong everytime. Walker wants UK and that’s been pretty obvious for a while. I just hope we don’t lose him because Cal opted to wait out other players. Go Cal an go Cats! Get #9!

#2 LOL, how do you think Patrick Ewing, Lebron, Shaq, Anthony Davis, or Nerlens Noel dominated in high school? Oh yeah, they were bigger and stronger than the other kids. #5 Seriously, did you just why are “we” considering Ndiaye. What region do you recruit for Cal?

#7 It’s a comment section. Relax.

I say when someone this highly touted wants to come to UK, get him there. I know its more than just talent Cal is looking for, but he can shape any kid into a good human being. (Except daniel orton). #9

I am a Sunbelt talent. So glad Cal wanted to steal me away from Ricky P.

I’ll say it again….KASEY HILL IS BETTER THAN BOTH HARRISON TWINS. Cal should’ve focused on that guy instead of facing the possibility of missing out on Julius Randle (hates the twins) AND Chris Walker (still no offer, obviously). Hill is a stud.

#12 I think I will take the 6’5″ Harrison Twins over the barely 6″ Kasey Hill ALL DAY!!!! He will be able to get those other guys also if they wanna come play for Kentucky. The stupidity level is absurd on this site sometimes.

I think 10 IQ points should automatically be deducted for every line someone puts in their eyebrows.

Cal knows Chris loves UK. I think hes holding out on the offer to get other top targets engaged and ready to come to UK because he knows Walker will pull the trigger within a week of getting his UK offer, If not commit on the spot. Walker has the grades and talent to come to UK. There Is no other reason why he hasnt been offered.
