News broke last night that the Houston Rockets are interested in acquiring two top ten draft picks in order to trade for Orlando’s Dwight Howard. According to ESPN, Houston is looking to trade their 14th and 16th picks to move up into one of the draft’s top 10 spots. The likely suitors? The Sacramento Kings (5th pick) and the Toronto Raptors (8th pick). Once they have those picks, they are going to offer them to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Howard.
If all of this happens (many analysts are skeptical about the Magic’s willingness to trade Howard), it could mean that Patrick Patterson could head to Sacramento and reunite with DeMarcus Cousins. It could also impact Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who may slip to the fifth pick if the Bobcats, Wizards and Cavs pass; and Terrence Jones, who has worked out with the Raptors in the last few weeks.
All in all, a very interesting turn of events if it pans out. Stay tuned to “As the Draft Turns”…

While I would absolutely hate to see Patrick leave the Rockets I’d like to see a decent Rockets team get back to the playoffs.

So you’re telling me we could have Patterson, Cousins, Hayes, AND MKG on the Kings? Can we just go ahead and move that team to Kentucky?

If the Kings could swing in Teague, they would have a UK starting 5. Yeah, MKG could shut down the other teams 2 and on offense, just back him down and dunk on his head.
The city of louisville should put a package together to get the Kentucky Kings to move here from NoCal to fill the yum center.

If the Kings trade the #5 draft pick, they won’t get MKG.

2/3 – Think you all missed the point. PPatt going to the Kings would mean that the Kings traded the #5 pick (the whole point of the trade). Therefore, the Kings would no longer be in position to draft MKG. MKG to the Wizards is my choice!

Just another play in the intricate plan to ready the Sacramento Kings to become the Kentucky Kings. This has been in the works since before the ground was broken on the new Louisville arena. #KentuckyKings. #LouisvilleForTheKings

This is a waste of time, if Dwight goes anywhere, he is going to the Lakers.

It would be a good move for PPat, I have been a Rockets fan since i was transferred here in 92 but I’m not certain what they have been doing the last few years. If all the CATS are on one team, that would be great.
