There is nothing quite like the unique combination of storytelling and action like the world of professional wrestling. Especially the kid that takes place every Sunday night inside of a flea market bingo hall turned arena. The United Wresting Federation is a small operation but in that lies the magic. I remember when the wrestlers came to the Inez Community Center when I was a kid and people were trying to climb into the ring to fight the pros. That’s my favorite part about the small independent scene- interaction between the fans and the wrestlers. The UWA offers entertainment unlike anywhere else on a Sunday night in KY, so they are responsible for the news and view of tonight.
-First up the latest news come from the mound where Jared Grundy has forgone the MLB draft and decided to return for his senior season. The LHP was drafted in the 27th round but will return to school to follow up on one of the best seasons in batcat history. Perhaps, to erase the disappointing finish. Either way the future for Gary Henderson’s squad just got brighter.
-In the continuous battle for state billboard supremacy Louisville finally got their Lexington is for the birds sign put up. I guess Frankfort can count as a territory for the Cards. The only answer to that is to throw up a new UK billboard in Mt. Washington.
-For our NBA cats they continue to be the subject of trade rumors concerning Dwight Howard. I have turned off ESPN for the past few days to avoid complete over saturation of talk involving the Magic center but the Rockets still want him bad. With Nazr, Orton, and Meeks entering free agency and the Rockets loaded at the 4 spot the NBA cats will be on the move before the start of the season.
-In the summer league MKG tore it up in his NBA debut with 18 points. Michael is out to prove analysts and hater wrong who said he wasn’t worthy of the number two pick. So far in his first game as a pro he has done just that, hopefully he continues that trend throughout the summer.
-On the recruiting front Troy Williams spoke about reopening his recruitment to more colleges and how it has allowed him to progress as a payer. The 2013 recruit is still considering UK and UNC among other schools. Also a the Nike global challenge Kuran Iverson announced his interest in UK. The question being, is UK interested in him? The 2013 class looks to be stacked but if things don’t go UK’s way the small forward could end up getting a look.
-Don’t forget to mark your calender for when KSR is coming close to your locale. The radio show is going on a tour to their affiliates and it is sure to be a blast. Here is the schedule in care you missed it.

-Well that’s all the news for a slow Saturday. I’ll be back tomorrow to provide you with some reading entertainment to get you through the remaining days until the kickoff of the football season. Hopefully we will get some more word about the NBA summer league and some new recruiting info, until then happy Saturday/Sunday BBN!

Big blue nation representing everywhere! I might actually start watching the NBA again in about 10 years when 50% of all teams consist of UK Alum

Jamestown DOES NOT have a tv station.

You’re going to Lexington, but which part? I live in Tates Creek, but shouldn’t have to drive all the way to Nicholasville Road if that’s where you decide to go. KSR owes loyal readers a personal visit because we made you. I expect Matt to come to my house and shake my hand. I also deserve to have some airtime, so I can be heard. Stop posting articles on here multiple times. Go see my friends the Schlagenheimens in NKY – quit treating that part of the state like crap and skipping them. Oh and btw, I don’t care about this article, so don’t post any like it anymore because I don’t want to read it.
P.S.: PROOFREAD YOUR POSTS. This is the worst free site ever sometimes. And stop letting that Not Tipton guy post. No wonder football recruits turn us down after reading that.

Guys, since MJ and the Beez got into it, the writing sux now. Only Drew and Mrs. TT are worth reading. My infant child of five months writes better than this.

Jones was 7-10 with 16 pts, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in 20 minutes in 70-76 loss vs wizards

Thanks #4, for finally saying what’s been on my mind! I usually get two sentences in to an NJT article and have to turn off my 12″ CRT monitor because I can’t stand the words I’m reading! I hate Not Jerry Tipton like hemorrhoids, skinny jeans, or Pauly D. I used to respect a man with a mustache, but him and Richie have ruined it for everybody. And when is this Tweet Beat going to be over? I haven’t heard a funny tweeter yet. These kids need jobs, or they need to be in the gym working on their backdoor cuts and chest passes. And enough of these “floater in the lane” shots, where are the 17 ft set shots? Last time I had a floater in the lane, I darn near passed out cleaning it up. And why does that girl have a guy’s name? Where are the Susans and Ethels these days? Good, strong names- make you want 3 kids and a station wagon.

We will gladly take a UK billboard. Put it on Bardstown Road heading towards Fern Creek and I’ll have something halfway decent to look at on my way to work.

As usual, Paducah is too ?? something for any of the Wildcat anythings to venture down to. Missouri is looking closer all the time. We have followed the BBN for years and getting tired of the constant snubs.
