While you were battling a case of the Mondays, Coach Cal was burning up the phone lines this morning. First up was 2014 guard JaQuan Lyle. Lyle, the 15th ranked player in the 2014 class, is interested in the Cats, Tennessee, Louisville, and Duke, and will visit the Vols this weekend. He tweeted about the phone call this morning:
Just got off the phone with Coach Cal from UK…#BBN

Word on the street is Harrow is rocking a flat top now. If we could get Lyle we might have Flat Top U on lock-down.

I like the crossover. Even though he appears to be playing against 10 year olds.

Did he really have to say “from UK”?

@pete,for your information JaQuan only missed the game they had against Central this past season and it was only 1 game that he didnt start in but he did play. And the only reason he sat those 2 times was because of normal kid stuff. He was late for practice because he was playing around with some females in school. And as far as his attitude, thats only on the court because he’s very emotional when it comes to playing ball because he doesnt like to lose.

But…. Coach Cal won’t even be at Kentucky in 2014 so….. kinda irrelevant.

ridiculous handle, eyes in the back of his head = assist machine, and can hit from long range. wow.

This is interesting also considering D’Angelo Russell, who is ranked either just ahead of or just after Lyle in most rankings. He is originally from Louisville.
Kentucky, Indiana, and Louisville are both very much in on both players and both seem very interested in those schools since they are both from this area. Be interesting to see if both pick from those three and which one loses out if so.
