In order to honor those who do well in the classroom as they do well on the court, UK has created a Wall of Fame for GPAs on campus. These are the 9 honored from the last semester, including a stellar 3.75 for Anthony Davis. Somebody is out there getting their learn on

Sweet, love it!!

Come on Beckham, I want to see you playing this season bro. You CAN do it.
June 16th, 2012 at 4:10 pm
That is fantastic. I wish the national media would pay attention to this. They hate on UK for “tarnishing” the image of college athletics, and yet when our players leave UK, they move on to seven-figure salaries in high academic standing. I don’t see much tarnish in setting that example.
June 16th, 2012 at 4:13 pm
3) the national media would probably just talk about the 5 who didn’t get a 3.0 or above……
June 16th, 2012 at 4:16 pm
A perfect 4.0 for Wiltjer. Way to go big guy!
June 16th, 2012 at 4:20 pm
As a former athlete at UK, it is not very hard to get above a 3.0. With CATS tutoring, it is almost difficult to get under a 3.0.
June 16th, 2012 at 4:21 pm
Take that Bobby Knight. As Cal said on his CBS One2One interview about anybody who says the kids don’t go to class: You’re old & bitter my man that’s not true !!
June 16th, 2012 at 4:24 pm
Not to take anything away from the guys who earned a 3.0+, but, in my experience, #6 is right.

Number 6-Thanks so much for your positive comment. Here is mine: You are a Parvenu. Go back to your hovel immediately…
June 16th, 2012 at 4:32 pm
No Darius Miller or had he already finished?
June 16th, 2012 at 4:44 pm
This should be called the “Bobby Knight Wall”!

I’m really impressed to see Davis, Wiltjer and Harrow up there. Critics will say its only the walk-ons that get the good grades so shove it.
June 16th, 2012 at 5:29 pm
But does UK have the guts to put their classes they took under those GPAs????? NO, I didn’t think so . . .
June 16th, 2012 at 6:04 pm
#13 — You didn’t even go to college—-so shut the f__k up.
June 16th, 2012 at 6:25 pm
6 – Has a good point. The athletes have a huge advantage with the “tutoring” that CATS provides.
June 16th, 2012 at 6:38 pm
Did Cal have Derek Rose’s teacher tutor them or just take their test?
June 16th, 2012 at 6:44 pm
What’s wrong with tutoring? I’m sure that the athletes are not the only students at UK to have tutors. What about Fab Melo from Syracuse? Do you think he did’nt have a tutor? Still could’nt get it done. I think this is awesome and I am super proud of these guys. I seriously think some people should get a tutor before they post a comment. Back off haters.

June 16th, 2012 at 7:47 pm
Hate… Hate …. Hate …. Something dark side. That’s fn awesome. #6, did you win a championship and do it? Didn’t think so, now Stfu scrub and go back to work.
June 16th, 2012 at 9:48 pm
HoodyHood’s GPA woulda been higher, but he kept sleeping through
his 8AM Goal-Leaning class. He failed the class, but perfected the art.

Not very hard to get above a 3.0? While winning a National Championship?
I used to BE a tutor; in the real life world where students have 3 jobs,
spouses, kids, illnesses, and all the other unknowns life throws at them,
a 3.0 GPA often represents a lot of late nights studying, and 6:30AM
tutoring sessions at the library. Unless you were born with a silver
spoon in your mouth, a 3.0 is a beautiful thing.

Could not be prouder of AD. Putting in work in and out of the classroom to get a 3.75 with his future riches already completely assured. Great ambassador for UK athletics that goes far beyond his contributions on the court.
June 16th, 2012 at 10:38 pm
#18-Your post is so original…NOT. Go back under the rock from whence you came and stay there.
June 16th, 2012 at 11:09 pm
Great job, Wiltjer! Maintaining a 4.0 while playing BB & making hip hop videos! Well done!
June 17th, 2012 at 1:10 am
Brian Long is not appreciating this either…
June 17th, 2012 at 2:45 pm
Anybody can get a 3.00 when you take African American Studies at UNC.
