The Memphis Grizzlies will open their NBA draft workout season tomorrow, and they’ve invited Kentucky sharpshooter Doron Lamb to be a part of the festivities. Memphis has only a single pick in the upcoming draft, the 25th overall, and if the list of players that will be attending the first workout with Lamb is any indication, they’ll be taking a hard look at the perimeter.
Lamb will be joined in the first workout by a bunch of people he beat on the way to the national title, including Vandy’s John Jenkins, Kansas’ Tyshawn Taylor and Mississippi State’s Dee Bost. Tu Holloway of Xavier and Scoop Jardine of Syracuse will also be part of the workout. When the Grizzlies finish working out guards and move on to forwards, Darius Miller is expected to be a part of the group that gets an invitation along with players like Royce White and Draymond Green.
Lamb and Miller are the two Cats projected on the edge of the first round, so Memphis is exactly the type of team they need to impress to hear their name called on the good side of the 30th pick. They’ll be the key to Kentucky getting a ridiculous six players drafted in the first round, so we’ll keep an eye on their workout performances to see if things are trending toward UK making a little more draft history later this month.

Lamb and miller is two of the most underrated players in his draft along with royce white and john jenkins. All four will be studs in the NBA.

Royce White isn’t getting much love from alot of the so called experts. What little I saw of him tells me he is going to be a better pro player than college player.I’d take him over Terrence Jones, Sullinger, Barnes, Drummand and alot of others projected ahead of him. What am I missing?

Don’t get why pros aren’t high on Lamb. He is a bigger and better player then Rip Hamilton. On the right team he could get 14-15 every night. More importantly he could spread the court every night. Anyone who watched the Heat the difference in game 6 and 7 was Battier had to be guarded game 7. Lamb can do that every night.

#7 For the amount of money he will make. Some one will do him like they did Mr. T on the A-team. Slip him a Ruffie every time they fly.
