[Moderated by Matt Jones, Drew Franklin and Tyler Thompson]

I’ll Have Another scratched, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have any fun today. Lines are still open for the Belmont Stakes, and you’ve got about five hours before the race starts. So bet smart, and treat your money like Drew Franklin treats his dignity: don’t wager anything you’re not willing to lose.
So saddle up; we’ve got your odds right here!
1-Street Life, 8/1
2-Unstoppable U, 20/1
3-Union Rags, 3/1
4-Atigun, 15/1
5-Dullahan, 9/5
6-Ravelo’s Boy, 30/1
7-Five Sixteen, 30/1
8-Guyana Star Dweej, 30/1
9-Paynter, 7/2
10-Optimizer, 15/1
11-I’ll Have Another, Scratched
12-My Adonis, 15/1
Dullahan is the obvious post-scratch favorite, at better than 2-1. Before the scratch, he was listed at 9-1. Next is Union Rags, at 3-1, and Paynter, at 7-2. After the fourth best odds, Street Life at 8-1, it really drops off, with several listed at 15-1, and the last few at 30-1.
Personally, I like Union Rags and Street Life, only because they remind me of something Tom Waits would sing about. If they ever name a horse “Tom Traubert’s Blues,” I’m putting all my money down. Literally dozens of dollars.
So there you have it; adjusted odds for today’s Belmont Stakes. Enjoy responsibly.

1) Corey Nichols gets way too hard a time here. BTI was by far the worst writer KSR has ever had (or will ever have), and he didn’t get bagged on nearly as much as Nichols. At least Corey is funny every now and again, whereas Bryan the Intern suffered from Seth MacFarlane syndrome: a disease in which one confuses offensive lowbrow inanity with clever and funny. (And I say that as someone who loves offensive humor. But that’s just thing, offensive humor needs to be offensive AND funny.)
2) Anyone that makes a smart and apt Tom Waits reference on a sports site deserves mad respect.

10. You sir, are clueless. Broseph was a short lived KSR writer who specialized in horse racing. He was not here long. Why the hell are you blathering on about BTI? Who cares? It was a way back KSR joke, been on the site for about 6 years, you didn’t get the joke…
