Mark Emmert, the NCAA President that likely keeps John Calipari’s picture on his dartboard, is considering leaving his job this summer according to SportsbyBrooks.com. Emmert is contemplating a move back to LSU, a school where he was once the Chancellor. The move would be an interesting one at a time that the organization’s overall influence amongst its most powerful schools seems to be slipping. With virtually no control over the football playoff system being proposed, the NCAA is on the outside looking in at the biggest revenue generating part of college athletics and Emmert may be ready to try something new.
This would be great news for John Calipari, who barely hides his contempt for Emmert publicly, especially following the Enes Kanter decision last year. While it isn’t quite winning the title, watching Emmert walk out the door of the NCAA would be a celebratory day for many in Lexington.

As much as I dislike the guy…..sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t know.

It would be awesome if he left the NCAA board! Hes a true jerk and much like a meteorologist gets away with a poorly done job. He shows such obvious hatred to UK and bias to anything but UK. Can’t wait for him to be gone.

So funny that he had to hand Cal that trophy.

I’ll help the Howdy Doodie look alike move if it’ll get him out faster.

He knows that Cals 4 mega conference situation with a football playoff is coming to fruition and it will lead to disbanding the NCAA. Hes running for a position in one of the Big 4 conferences before the window is closed and he sinks with the NCAA ship

Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on your way out.

Within my lifetime… the NCAA will be a defunct entity

I for one would be glad to see this jerk gone. By the way, is that lady with him Ms. Swan from Mad TV?

They will just replace him with another douchebag. So big deal

I got bad news for ‘im. Nobody in Baton Rouge wants him either.

If Calipari’s premonition comes to be, 4 sixteen-team mega conferences that split from the NCAA and do their own thing, the NCAA would be bankrupt. There is no way they could afford to keep anyone from top to bottom and as the leader of the sinking ship he’d never get another job. The value of the organization would be almost nothing without the major basketball revenue from the Men’s NCAA Tourney. Self preservation is the name of the game right now!

He is a poor excuse for a human being and is taking air away from deserving folks wherever he is.
