Former Wildcat and now Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle , Corey Peters, suffered a foot injury this past week. Peters, who has been a staple in the front four of the Falcons’ defense for a couple of years now, is only hoping to miss the teams’ organized team activities and possibly return to the team during training camp.
As the Falcons prepare to try to take the next step after four straight winning seasons but no playoff victories, one of their defensive starters won’t be available for any of the offseason preparations.
Peters has started 30 of 32 regular-season games since joining the team via round three of the 2010 draft.
Peria Jerry, a first-rounder in 2009, will replace Peters in the starting lineup until he returns.
The specific nature of the injury or the manner in which Peters suffered it aren’t known.
The Falcons training camp is scheduled to start in late July and completed in mid-August. KSR wishes Corey a speedy recovery.

Anybody see what Edgar Sosa said about Rick and Cal? Something along the lines of his 4 years at UL weren’t great but credited Rick for being the man he is today. Then went on to say that Cal brings out a swagger and confidence in his guys that makes them feel untouchable.
