Earlier today, MKG was the latest Cat to surprise his mom with a new car. The Benz SUV is perfect. It says, were about to be filthy rich, but you still gotta grab the groceries, Mom. Knowing you are going to be a millionaire in a matter of weeks has to be exciting. Especially when you can spoil the hell out of your family just because. Congrats to MKG and his mother on their new purchase.

It’s cool the kids are doing this, just hope they don’t turn into Antoine Walker. Hope they learn about taxes, agent & management fees, investments, and not buying tons of cars & houses, baby moma drama & having a mooching entourage.

One-up TJ? I’d rather have the Escalade, any day. I really wish young
teachers would get these guys’ salaries, and these guys get the young
teachers’ salaries. I do love me some hoops, but man, our society
is so out of whack. God help us all, and GO BIG BLUE!!!

8, I concur. Not sure what these cats were studying at UofK, but one way we can improve over Pitino is to ensure these kids leave after 1-2 years with a remedial version of personal financial responsibility. We owe them AT LEAST that much.

#9 but i bet you’re the same guy that thinks free market economies are the answer to all the world’s ills. professional athletes/entertainers make the $ they make because that’s what the market says they’re worth. they generate infinitely more $ than they ever see. i’m a teacher, and i’d love to be paid more, and the work i do is really damn important, but the next person to pay $1200 for a front row seat to my class, after buying my $200 signature kicks, $100 for my jersey, $50 bucks for food and $20 to park…well that person will be the first person to do so.
to borrow the lingo of my republican brethren, NBA PLAYERS ARE REAL JOB CREATORS.
June 2nd, 2012 at 9:44 pm
and btw, most young teachers suck. it’s not their fault, but just like any young professional they only half know what the f#ck they’re doing. not knocking anyone, because i’d certainly include myself amongst their ranks when i started out.

#4-You are so freakin’ original…Not! How many times you have tried this same boring post and it is as stupid now as it was the first time you used it.

#9, it wasn’t an escalade was it? just a Cadillac? can’t remember.
June 2nd, 2012 at 10:43 pm
I bet some liberal will want him to share the wealth, assholes.
June 3rd, 2012 at 12:17 am
Let me put this to rest: They deserve everything that they are (and will) get. When you make $2 mil a year, it is ok to spend $10,500 (estimating) on an annual car payment. The math adds up. We can agree that TJ, MKG, AD23, and the rest are good kids and that they won’t do anything too reckless. Let them enjoy the pleasures of making money and having a (high paying) job. Many of them came from single-parent homes and couldn’t enjoy the luxuries we had when we were kids.

#15, I bet some conservatives will not want their daughter to marry a basketball player, racists.
Not true? So’s your original statement.
Now, back to sports.

#4, I’m a #bbn fan to the bone, but that was funny! LOL
June 3rd, 2012 at 12:51 pm
#11 and some of you posters just KILL me. If these were UofL or any other teams playere, you guys would be joking on them for this. Since they are UK players, you are justifying them going to the NBA early and all this petty 1 and done stuff. If you can really say that you like Cal’s philosophy, then you are a complete liar. Whats great about college basketball is players improving and being part of a college team.

First the house, then the car. Otherwise it just looks like a welfare cadillac.
June 3rd, 2012 at 4:46 pm
I guess the car company gave him the line of credit in good faith right? As far as I know they haven’t received their first paychecks. Or maybe he feels comfortable spending his UK paychecks at this point.

22. you are a moron. All top picks get fronted money from their agents you moron.
June 3rd, 2012 at 8:47 pm
#23 you have to overlook Loserville fans, they are not use to having talented enough players to go 1 and done. They do not know the workings of agents.
