With the draft lottery over, teams are locked into their positions and can gauge exactly what players could be available when they select. One team that has shown a lot of interest in Terrence Jones is Golden State. The Warriors hold the number seven overall pick in June’s draft. Although they would trade the pick for a benefitial deal, they would not hesitate to pull the trigger on Jones if they ended up keeping it.
As detailed yesterday, the team plans to be very active shopping the pick around in an effort to find a legitimate veteran small forward. If the Warriors do decide to keep the pick, this report states that they have their eye on Terrence Jones but are low on Perry Jones III.
With David Lee already the man at the power forward position, it looks like the Warriors plan to use Terrence at small forward. His length and versality would help him do well at that position, but some question his ability to guard other small forwards that have a lot of quickness. Either way, the Warriors like our Jones over Perry Jones III, and that’s a great start to building a winner.
Cats.

Defense and rebounding is where the money is, in the NBA, and I think taking PJ3 before Terrence Jones would be foolish.

Should get some solid time in, doing a three man rotation with Richard Jefferson and Lee. I’d really like this pick. Good situation for our boy.

Matt Jones needs to learn to keep his hands to himself in public. I was trying to shoot pool in yesterday’s and he was busy fondling a coed.

Interesting info, and I think Terrence will have greater success being used as a 3 or stretch 4 rather than a traditional 4 in the post. Warriors are not good, but if Bogut and Curry can stay healthy (big if) then they can at least be somewhat competitive. BTW, probably a good idea to link to the original story when you give block quotes – don’t care about plagiarism/copyright issues, I just like reading the original articles sometimes.

I would love to have some more Cats on the West Coast, since I live in the Bay area.
I am also a TJ fan. He is a class act.

TJ will be just fine at either position, but he’s more adept I think at the 4, but is quick enough to handle the 3. Also, left-handed power players are hard to find, so that should speak volumes for him if given the right chance & the right team with a great teaching coach! Good Luck Terrence, you will do just fine!
