Jon Scott has one of the coolest sites out there. It is full of such great information, especially little tidbits like this. He has compiled a list of all former UK basketball players to serve in the Armed Forces. I figured there wouldn’t be a more relevant post on Memorial Day than one honoring servicemen who suited up for Kentucky as well as the United States. For the most part, these men were from a different decade but it’s still something cool to check out post barbeque.
He also has profiles of the former players who were killed in action.
God Bless America.

To all the men and women in uniform, especially those who have given there lives for our liberty, thank you for your service to our country.

Since 2001 more military personnel have committed suicide than died in action. Maybe we can honor our loved ones a little better…

#2 What is your point. Are you trying to say our troops don’t deserve the appreciation they receive. Here is a option why don’t you move to anther country who’s troops you respect more. I’m very gracious for the protection these fine folkes provide for me and my family. In case you couldn’t find it during your research we have a voluntary armed forces. Meaning these people volunteer to provide safety for the rest of us that is the true definition of a HERO to me. God bless them and bring them home safe.

To KSR I like this site but why would you let some of these derogatory comments about our military stay up on today of all days. I know we have a lot of freedoms in our country, but why not show them a little more respect at least for today

Charles Hurt was a badass. He played selflessly on a team with superstars. There have been many UK teams over the last 30 years that needed a Charles Hurt on board to take them to the next level.
