Troy Williams is taking his talents to Oak Hill

by @ 9:33 pm. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

2013 Kentucky target Troy Williams will transfer to Oak Hill Academy for his senior season of high school basketball. Williams was close to committing to North Carolina over Kentucky earlier in the month but has since decided to keep his recruitment open for a little while longer. It’s a good thing he did because picking UNC over Kentucky sounded like a terrible decision. Who does that????

Williams is a top 20 player in the 2012 class, according to Rivals.com.

Do we actually still want this guy? His stock is plummeting like Derek Willis and we’ve got Chris Walker/James Young begging for an offer….

  3. David Says:

    2. Yeah I never really wanted him. He’s pretty good, but it seems like we can do better.

If cal and uncle wes decide to fork over the funds, this kid will be a cat.

  6. Duke sucks Says:

Cal must like this kid. He has offered him already instead of some other higher rated players. So that is good enough for me. In Cal I trust

  7. CATS Says:

He is #42 on ESPN’s new rankings. Even though their rankings usual aren’t mentioned much. I know Cal wants Jabari, but James Young is now the #5 player in the class and he wants to come here. You have to offer him! Plus, I’ve read Jabari isn’t favoriting UK. If Jabari doesn’t choose us, Young might not like being the 2nd option and decide to go else where. As much as I would like Jabari, I think we go ahead and land Young, Harrison twins, and put the full court press on Julius Randle. I guess Cal knows best though.

  8. Duke sucks Says:

Cal has watched these kids for years. I think he has a good idea who will fit his system the best. The rankings are great for us the fans but the most important thing is how they fit into the program. Attudes, work ethic, and buying into a team are the things Cal is better at getting then anyone else.We need look no farther then Rivers at Duke then to see this. We all dislike Rat face but he can coach.Rivers didn’t fit their system and even with Rivers being as good as he was it still messed the whole team up

    1) nice stupid comment
Cal knows what he is doing: smart comment!!!
