Yesterday, it was Sam Dick and WKYT with an exclusive interview with John Calipari. Today, we have Kent Spencer of WHAS’s version of the exclusive interview, from what appears to be the exact same spot on the Craft Center floor. Have a listen as Kent talks to Calipari about saying goodbye to Indiana and needing to play more regular season games in football stadiums.

Did WV have more experience playing in football stadiums? Is that why we lost the game?

We did shoot 4-32 from the 3 point line. Of course with Patterson and Cousins inside maybe we should have quit shooting the three. Of course in 2011 we could have won the title if we knew how to shoot free throws as well. We would have 10 if only!!

I hate UK. They have the best of everything. From fans to players to coach, they are the cream of the crop. I wish we at IU were more like them!

The correct quote would have been “Two years ago, if we would have stopped throwing up pointless 3′s we would have won the national title” Outrageous how much talent was on that team to blunder like that. Sorry but he is full of it with that comment.

Till this day, just the thought of that game drives me crazy… Hey Cal, instead of having your team shoot 32 3-pointers, how about you tell your team to pound the ball inside considering you have two of the best front court players in America, with Cousins and Patterson. Or did the football stadium distort the passing lanes and entry passes? Did I mention that game drives me crazy?

These other dudes are jealous. Especially IU fans. Which is odd, considering the hate that UL fans harbor in their hearts, but it’s true. IU fans cannot stand that UK got another banner before them. Tommy Clap was supposed to “bring them back” and do it the “right” way.

last year we won a national title. 2 years ago we lost in a football stadium to UCONN. keep complaining about WVU game though. pound it inside against a team that has 5 players in the paint.

#19- The only reason I’m criticizing him is his arrogance after the band has played and gone. Winning the title this year has nothing to do with that year’s team (which had 5 picks in 1st RD) and the comment he just made about “why” they lost in the tourney. It’s complete BS but most fans don’t even care.

I need a ruling from the comment section police… If the fans are not supposed to complain and make comments about the game two years ago because they just won the title, then why is Cal making comments about the game two years ago? He DID just win the title ya know….

Indiana sucks. It’s so boring. Our state produces some great basketball players, and all of them can’t wait to get the hell out and go to other states. That’s why IU won’t win a championship for another 20 years. Please help us do something to make our state better so that our players won’t run out of here as fast as they can when they graduate high school.

Cal brought us from NIT has been to National Championship and the nation’s hottest program in three years…the critics need to back up a step and look at where we are and where we are going with Cal at the helm, not the past.
