UK’s National Championship Maker’s Mark Bottle On Sale Tomorrow

by @ 7:30 pm. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

The 2012 national title Maker’s Mark bottle goes on sale tomorrow. Not too shabby…if our friends at Maker’s Mark want to send us a couple, we won’t hold it against them.

    How much?

  3. gobigblue_1 Says:

I don’t think these are the official Championship bottles. I think it’s just a quick one they put together as a collectors item. I would bet money the real championship one, much like 1996, will be next years Keeneland bottle.

  4. john Says:

    I expected more

  5. UKBrad Says:

Really? A 46 Bottle with absolutely nothing on the bottle displaying #8 or the players!
    #epicfail

  6. nassau65 Says:

i believe this is the sucker bottle so they can sell twice as much.
surely they’ll do more than that.

  7. nassau65 Says:

then again, there is another side to the bottle

  8. Jeremy San Diego Says:

  10. Swoony Says:

I think I see an image of fat Jesus in the bottle.

  11. Bob Says:

If you wait until tomorrow they will be gone. I got mine today.

  12. cdog Says:

They are not allowed to put anything UK on the bottle. They are not allowed to profit of UK or the NCAA.
The keeneland bottles are a lil different because they are charity related. Makers actually got in trouble for the 1996 bottle. Hence the reason there was no 1998 bottle

  13. mocha Says:

times like this make me hate living in california. i have to get one of these…

  14. Matt Says:

  18. hey cdog Says:

    there was a 1997 and 1998 tennessee bottle…

  19. DT in DC Says:

I remember having to get on a waiting list in ’96 at Liquior Barn to get one. They were out much sooner, I believe. In ’98, they didn’t do a bottle, but they dipped their cigar cases in blue and put Kentucky 1998 on it. I got one of those. I hope a nice friend in KY picks me up one of these beauties to continue my collection!

  20. therussk Says:

I just ran to a couple of different stores (in louisville) and they were already sold out. Bummer. I hope they do another one!

  21. Kim Says:

Indiana is going to be on a bottle of Shasta to celebrate their sweet 16 appearance. They only made 12 bottles. You know, no demand for it.

  22. Kbw Says:

They will be released at liquorbarn tomorrow morning. By will have plenty

  23. Ty Says:

@21 too funny. FAGo would have been spot on. I dont even know if that company is still around.

  24. The King Says:

Lots of places in Louisville are already selling them right now. Limited edition batches typically are done in 18,000. This one only had 9,000 made. I picked mine up just a few minutes ago.

  25. coldspringmike Says:

Meijer in Cold Spring only has 3 left on shelf- $34.49

  26. Deeeeep Says:

They didnt put anything about a championship on there because, you know, the likely chance of that whole vacate thing…..

  27. Thanks 25! Says:

    Thanks poster 25^ drove to
Meijer and picked up the last one!

  28. Kj Says:

26 GTH & STFU you Tard asshole!!!!

  29. the boss Says:

This is the only way Maker’s can get rid of their stock of 46 ….Geez

  30. JB95Jeep Says:

Makers Mark has worn this marketing concept out. I got the original Makers Mark blue back in 1993 when it was a novel idea and they have since saturated the market with all types of colored wax bottles. No matter how you look at it, it is still a bottle of overpriced bourbon.

  31. Eric Says:

I hate ppl that buy extras to sell for a profit. I go to buy 1 for myself and can’t find them because they are sold out.

  32. Billy Maverick Says:

I got mine at 1 PM today at the Bottle Shoppe in Danville. Just happened to be coming out of the gym and saw the pickup truck pullup with the delivery. I helped the store owner carry the cases in and I bought his first one… #8,345 out of 9,000. At first I was worried about just being able to get one, now I’m starting to wish I had gotten a lower number. Doesn’t matter… didn’t buy it to sell, just to put with my other UK Maker’s bottles.

  33. bluebloodtoo Says:

They need a big “8″ stamped in the wax!

  34. karen Says:

I just spoke to Liquor Barn in Lexington at Hamburg Place and they still have the championship bottles available but they are not allowed to ship them.
