2013 wing Troy Williams will announce his decision tomorrow afternoon on Twitter. Williams said he didn’t want to have a big press conference because he’d rather do it from home, “after school probably.”
Williams is down to North Carolina and Kentucky.
He’s the No. 7 overall player in the class, according to Scout.com

Rumor is UNC. That sucks. I figured so when he retweeted all of the unc fans saying come to UNC. I’ve seen a total of like 20 retweets of UNC in the past few weeks and only like 6 UK retweets. I feel that Roy is getting troy tomorrow….

Biggest difference between us and UNC: James Michael McAdoo. This kid has been a stud since high school, won multiple MVP’s of national high-school games, and got little to no attention and is coming back. Now look at MKG. Roughly the same potential as JMM coming out of high school, also dominated All-American games, and is projected in the Top 3 in the draft. You could argue UNC had more high-level players that shadowed him, but it’s the coaches job to bring out potential in their players, which Calipari exceeds at (see Harrelson, Liggins, Miller, Lamb, Wiltjer next year)

If he wants to play only a small amount his freshman year, and come back to play a major role he needs to go to Carolina aka: Harrison Barnes. (Also, if you want to drop in the Draft, Carolina is the place to go!)

Barnes is a good example of how Cal developes players & Roy developes players. I think Williams does a good job but Cal is on another level as far as accelerating a players growth. He just gets results faster which gets them to the league sooner rather than later. Barnes will go high in the draft but at least 2 Kentucky players will go higher. That’s more money so you have to consider that in deciding your future as a top prospect.

I have a feeling the Heels will be getting Troy. First of all, Cal wants Jabari, and him and Troy play the same position – Jabari’s way better though. The second and most important thing is Roy and Troy rhyme, no that’s not it, Roy and Troy’s uncle are really close and have been. Bye Bye, Troy Williams….Hello, Jabari! It’s all good

I don’t think Cal cares much about positions from what I’ve read he cares about talent. I understand the kids may think in different terms. One thing I am sure of is this will all work out.

Hopefully a tweet day for UK. UK is at the point it can pick and choose players. Cal has the Ferrari purring along at 189 in the Fast Lane. Rick is broke down at the Watterson and I-64 in his 86 Camaro.

He’s going to UNC…and that’s what we want. James Young is ready to be a Cat and is blowing up, while Williams has fallen off a bit. We already have the offer on the table to Troy, but prefer he choose UNC so we can get Young, who we now prefer. Btw, before you ask, there isn’t room to take both. Expect an offer to Young soon.

19, you smokin crack? Chris Walker is not a center and Cal does not want that kid. Chris Walker only becomes a Cat if every other option falls through. He may be top ten talent, but his attitude has to seriously change before he gets an offer. As for Williams, even if we dont get him there is always Parker, Young, and now maybe Wiggins. Williams isnt a must have. He’s awful thin too. I like the MKG style sfs, the ones who will bang down low for rebounds, Williams isnt one. If he’s a Cat, welcome aboard, if not, oh well.

Why so many posts saying, “He’s a UNC lock for sure?” Is it because you guys don’t want to feel badly if he chooses another school other than UK and you can say, “See, I told you so?” Nerlens was going to G-Town too…remember?? NOBODY knows until tomorrow when the kid announces.

40. RELAX! It’s the start we prefer. We want Young over Williams. We offered Williams long ago and now Young is proving to be the better player of late. When he says UNC Cal will be fist pumping. Not that Troy isn’t damn good, but Young is better and still on the rise.
