#3, you are correct. Bennett is all Gator! Won’t be long now, first week of May or possibly sooner. Don’t be sad cat fans at least he kept you on his list longer than most other teams. Gonna be nice seeing Donovan on ESPN with Bennett when he signs his LOI to be a Gator.

Bennett to Florida doesn’t make sense, of course many of these decisions don’t to me anyway. He will be a much higher draft pick coming out of UK and a chance to win a national title. He won’t get that at Florida. Unless all he cares about is sunshine and playing second fiddle to football, he will come to UK.

So sorry UK doesn’t have anything to be excited about when football season rolls around. Not unless you look forward to your 26th consecutive year of getting beat by the Gators, but I take no great satisfaction in beating UK, it is merely just another game on the schedule and a chance to play second and third stringers. Anyway, Bennett will start for the Gators and step right into the spot left by Beal, who will be a top ten pick in the NBA draft.

@9/18, we just won a championship. Our 8th. You wanna hear the crazy part? Even if you DO get Bennett, we’re still the top recruiting class (for the fourth straight year) and a top 5 preseason team. I’d rather win championships in one sport and suck in another than to just be mediocre across the board. Your football program is nothing without Spurrier or Tebow. So yeah, take pride in that 7-5 football team. We’re a little busy counting championships….

gog8ors must be the biggest idiot in the world. Step in the shoes of Beal? Beal was a 6 ft 3 SG not a 6ft 8-9 PF you idiot. Bennett may be a top 10 pick but that may even be a stretch. At FL, hes drafted top 25, at KY, he’s top 10.

Anthony Bennett you will complete 2013 Recruiting Class for the Cats. Listen to these guys you will be great player wherever you go but at Kentucky you will become legend even in single short season, just ask Anthony Davis, Marquis Teague, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. These guys accomplished what most talented teams could not in their freshman season. Go Cats

Awesome to see our new team wanting other players to come and be apart of the University of Kentucky Wildcats. It shows how much they care for Anthony and the basketball team. Coach Cal did a great job in recruiting the new class coming in. It shows character and integrity on the coaches staff in recruiting. Anthony , you would be apart of something bigger than you can imagine. We want you to come to the University of Kentucky and fulfill your aspirations and dreams. God bless you and your family. #23 “Jack” shows the ignorance of basketball fans here in KY regarding any school outside of the state. Beal played the 3 all year for UF. Bennett would be the starting 3 at UF, a position he would play in the NBA. So yes, Bennett would be replacing Beal’s spot in the Florida lineup.

Well, if we don’t get this kid it won’t be from lack of effort. But when some say that going to Fla makes no sense ask yourself how much sense it made for Muhammed to go into that cesspool at UCLA ? Except that some people prefer to be a big fish in a small pond rather than just another big fish in a very big pond. Maybe he doesn’t want to have to deal with all the attention and the constant demands of BBN fans and media scrutiny of every facet of your life. He can be just a regular guy at Fla and I can’t blame him for that.

35, Anthony Bennett has said before he prefers to play in the 4 spot rather than the 3 spot. And Even if they did play the same position for the Gators(which I guarantee they wouldn’t), Billy D stresses the 3 ball probably more than most coaches in the country and having a 6-8 PF-Type player at the 3 that can shoot decent at best would not fit into the system. And smartass, the point I was getting at was the role on the team both would play is completely different and you would be crazy to think “Bennett will start for the Gators and step right into the spot left by Beal” because he most certaintly would not. His primary position is a PF, as his body is not fit to endure the other quick, hot shooting 3′s in the NBA. Yes, Bennett is athletic, yes he can shoot the ball on occasion, but not like the other 3′s in the NBA. There is no way Bennett would play the 3 at FL. He would most likely sit the bench a year till Young went on to the Draft. GOGAYTORS was trying to make the point as he would take over from where Beal left off, not position wise because if he knew a thing about his own team, he would know that a 6-8 PF would not play SF at Florida.

Donovan may or may not be telling Bennett that he will play the 3 at Florida. Either way, there is absolutely no way this kid will play the 3 at Florida. I hope he realizes that. Our 1-4 spots are all perimeter based. Even if Bennett plays the 4 at Kentucky, it is perimeter oriented and he will be able to develop both his inside and outside game. Florida’s front court is too crowded…the right choice is obvious.
Don’t believe Donovan if he is trying to sell the 3 spot to Bennett. I’m sure he told Rosario that he would play major minutes when transferring from Rutgers. Turns out, he played 14.4 minutes a game off the bench for Florida (in a similarly crowded back court last year) as opposed to 33.7 minutes at Rutgers.

No matter who UK plays they’ll be fine in the tourney, that was there downfall this year right, they hadnt played enough close ones in the season to be ready, if UK lands Bennett that makes it 1-Harrow 2-Goodwin 3-Poythress 4-Bennett 5Nerlens with hood,beckham, and wiltjer off the bench and possibly the Torian Graham character, if this happens, then They will be damn good
