Over on KSRCollege.com, they are in full Indiana rivalry gear. Lots of info on the game, trash talk and looking back at previous matchups. But our writer Chris Jones is also looking at things from a different perspective…mainly what the Indiana fans are saying on the message boards…and what he has found is that they are talking mad trash:

Message board fanatics: gotta love ‘em. In my opinion there is no better way to spend a rainy afternoon than scrolling through the forums of rival teams. It is on these holy grounds where free men CHOOSE to go and make fools of themselves. Its like having free HBO: top quality entertainment at a price that does not exist. Given the recently scheduled rematch between our beloved Wildcats and the Hoosiers, the quality of the product has reached a level of absurdness which I had previously thought to be impossible. Here are some of my favorites so far…

We saw it before that in Assembly Hall in December. Terrance Jones is no leader as he’s proven. The FF last year didn’t transform him into Draymond Green. What do you expect? It’s not like those kids are held accountable in any way except for basketball stats. Sometimes you can cut corners and be successful in the short term, but pUKe hasn’t seen the finals in over a decade despite having great talent. Why? Leadership and character. |

depth and only two good players. UK has played a team with a losing record and a team lucky to get in the tourney. Still haven’t played anyone but UNC and IU |

I know ‘yall’ wanna talk about important stuff like ‘Clappy’, ‘clown pants’ and whether CTC spray tans or uses a bed but I have a question for you. What in the name of sweet baby Jesus is up with Ashley Judd? What does she do after she is done chasing 20 yr old boys across the country for four months? Its one thing to be a fan but c’mon honey do something with your life. Maybe obsessive sports fans Survivor.Put her,Spike Lee and Jack Nicholson on an island with normal, everyday people.Surely they could tape it in the summer when it wouldnt interfer with her…umm, obsession, for lack of a better term. |

Didn’t they just struggle to beat VCU? A hype team? I guess you win 24 straight just because of hype and no talent. Their fans are pathetic. I hope we cruise by 20+.

Wow. How sweet this victory will be.

You know, I can fully admit that a team we are going to face is good or is going to be a good match-up or even that I respect them when our Cats get ready to face them (UNC, Kansas to name two). I think that these poor delusional IU fans have such a Napoleon complex that they can’t even admit its simply going to be a good game. They resort to poor logic (if logic is used at all) and the favorite topic of “those cheaters”. Really, if you’re going to be a fan of the game, respect the opponent, especially if they’re better than you. It just makes our win that we WILL have that much sweeter.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:10 pm
The simple fact is we played like crap in Bloomington, and they beat us on a prayer shot. This is not the same UK team that IU saw on their home court; Catlanta will be a home game for us. While IU is finally a program on the rise, they aren’t there yet–UK by 8 easy.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:11 pm
Plus, did I mention Cody Zeller looks like a skinny fetus?
March 19th, 2012 at 11:12 pm
Some people don’t know they are defeated, even when standing in front of a firing squad. Sometimes it takes the bullet to make them understand. Friday Whosiers, you will understand. (This is no way, shape or form a threat. I don’t even own a gun…) UK has 7 of them (guns) though and I look for all 7 to be firing Friday!!
It is funny to hear IU fans talk about depth when not ONE!!! of their starters would crack the rotation over UK’s top 6!! Wiltjer would probably start for IU, maybe even Vargus and that is UK’s 7th and 8th options. Zeller may get Vargus’ minutes and maybe home Ala depot would get Wilt daddy’s. Besides that, they would never see the floor.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:12 pm
Ya know, if I was a team only a good as Indiana, going up against the best team in the country, I would not be talking so much crap like it was going to be an easy game. That’s just stupid. UK is clearly the better team. I just dont see how you can be so blindly ignorant, no matter how much you bleed your favorite team.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:13 pm
Hey Hoosiers, You bunch of idiots/yankees who don’t have a damn clue about whats going to happen Friday night. I have a question for you? Do you know why Kentucky don’t slide into Tennessee? Aw come on, you can surely figure this one out, can’t you? Well maybe not being from a yankee state like Indiana but, the answer is ~ wait for it ~ because Indiana SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
Kentucky will win this game going away Friday and will shut your mouths until at least next year when you can start your trash talking again. Then, the Cats will spank your ass again!! GO CATS, GO CAL
March 19th, 2012 at 11:16 pm
What do they know about anything in hoosierville? What I know is that they have been the whipping boy for us and all the big ten,huh big ten. What a bunch of losers, but I guess if you live in a corn field you can’t expect them to have any class. But it is always us against the world anyway, might as well get use to it. March 19th, 2012 at 11:26 pm
They will probably bring the same refs they had in the Iowa st game. Worst I have seen in a while, but we always seem to have to play the opposing team and the refs,8 on 5 have to make it fair for them.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:28 pm
Did IU win at Ohio State, Mich St or Wisconsin?
So Kansas, Florida, and U of L (all in the Sweet 16) aren’t good teams?
In what way is UK a poor free-throw shooting team?
Darn it, I just spent more time thinking about these points than the combined time of all the IU posters.
PS–IU fans next time you call someone hillbillies, look up where the KKK was centered in the 20th century. Hint: it wasn’t the home of #1 seed from the SEC.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:34 pm
IU 0-5 against top 25 teams away from home
Terrence Jones has been a force these last few weeks
Anthony Davis knows how to stay out of foul trouble
Indiana doesn’t have the friendly home rims to shoot on
Teague is vastly improved
Lamb is shooting the ball well
Miller and MKG will not let this team lose…..
March 19th, 2012 at 11:35 pm
Does anyone know what time Indiana’s flight is scheduled to return to Bloomfield Friday night? Oh wait a minute ,I will just call the crop duster company and see what time they are sending the plane to catlanta and get the return time.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:37 pm
Those dumb sons a bitches dont realize that they are about to be embarrassed on friday…They fail to realize that UK played one of its worst games the first time around and was a couple of late game free throws for beating IU anyway….I guess theyre feeling pretty good about themselves after knocking off a powerhouse like VCU, but this game aint at assembly hall..Steve Alford and isiah Thomas aint walking thru that door …Yall bout to get smacked, BROW DOWN!
March 19th, 2012 at 11:40 pm
Should say Bloomington , hate this stupid IPhone spell check.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:43 pm
Kentucky lost on a buzzer beater in the most hostile environment playing one of their worst performances all season to IU’s best performance. Do the math, this game is in the bag!
March 19th, 2012 at 11:50 pm
“But I think I saw where she was with the players at some point. Didn’t JayZ get in trouble for that? Not that UK would worry about any type of rule violation.”
Ummmm…. Jay-Z is part owner with the NETS maybe that’s where the violation came from.

Who holds the most wins in the history of college basketball? Who has more championships than the whosiers? Who has more tournament wins?who has more tournament appearance,s? Who has more class? Who has more talent? Who has the best coach? Who is going to hang banner #8. You got it Lhosiers, The Cats, UK Cals first of many to come. Oh by the way indiana SUCKS!!!!!!!!
March 19th, 2012 at 11:53 pm
The indiana fans are playing with house money. If they win they will be able to gloat forever, if they lose they’ll say how they knew they wouldnt win and that making it to the sweet 16 was enough for their “overachieving” team. Then they’ll cry about how we cheat and how the win will be taken vacated. Blah blah blah. Beat the snot out of them. I’ll be there, I hope the whole state of Kentucky is as well.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:54 pm
I still hate Lousiville fans more but Indiana’s becoming a close second. I was rooting for them in the beginning of the year because i would like to see this become a good rivalry again not just a pointless game that we know we’ll win, but after seeing how there fans have acted this year with a little success i cant stand them. Hope they lose every game
March 19th, 2012 at 11:55 pm
Tickets are still available on ticketmaster. Go get them, lets fill that place. Indiana fans have never seen an environment like the one they will play in on Friday night.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:57 pm
I has taken only 4 short years for Crean to get a team that is utterly dominant. Their losses have come against powerhouses like Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota. Look at their NCAA record during that time…with wins against New Mexico St and VCU and…uh..well, that’s all I got.
March 19th, 2012 at 11:58 pm
My favorite part by far is the guy who said we can’t shoot free throws. Pretty sure we had the highest free throw percentage in the SEC this year.
March 20th, 2012 at 12:11 am
I always find it comical when an iu fan talks about cheating. almost been a year since they had NCAA violations and it’s like it never happened in their eyes. This just proves that iu fans suck at life and are worthless to this country. I would trade Indiana for any third world country in a sec.
March 20th, 2012 at 12:13 am
UK sucks because their games haven’t been close? UNC, all the Vandy games, Miss St., Florida and LSU in the SEC tourney, IU, Tennessee in Nashville. All were close. Pretty much their argument is that Uk chokes because their losses were close? Isn’t it good to not be blown out?
No senior leadership? Wait until they feel the wrath of Miller, Mr. Clutch.
IU is the better team? Maybe on one day, but the number 1 ranking is for a reason. Just because the tournament hasn’t given us the Heat yet, doesn’t mean UK sucks. Again, we blew out a good part of our competition. That is what great teams do, instead of losing to Minnesota.
Such a lack of logic in a Hoosier.
March 20th, 2012 at 12:18 am
Whoops. I was wrong. Florida had a better percentage at us. We were second. Regardless in conference play we hit free throws at a 73.9% clip. Not too shabby.
March 20th, 2012 at 12:19 am
there HAS to be an Indiana hate day soon…theyre too easy to make fun of and its time we go full force at em. hate days always work and there hasnt been one in a while. Im looking at YOU Drew Kidd-Franklin!

March 20th, 2012 at 12:27 am
Give me more. I hate them. I hate them a bunch. Stoke the flames. This will be the best day of my life. Next to prom.
March 20th, 2012 at 12:36 am
I love the one bum’s reasons we choke…
Because we’ve played 4 close games… What? That’s a reason.
We’re a poor free throw shooting team… Not sure on this, but don’t we average as a team in the 70% range?
Calipari gets outcoached in big games… Christian Watford hitting a shot to win, has nothing to do with Cal being a poor coach. We didn’t execute.
Oops… With fouls to give, Cal forgot to foul V. Jones… Again, he told them to foul. We didn’t execute.
Oops…Memphis snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in the nat’l championship game against Kansas… Again, nothing to do with this UK team… That team had entirely different players at an entirely different school.
So really, the guy… Has nothing… Cats by 10. Indiana can fist themselves.
March 20th, 2012 at 12:39 am
Kentucky has played a total of four close games this year
- Kentucky is a poor free throw shooting team which will hurt them in a close game
Cause we was kicking everyone’s a$#!!! Plus we are great at shooting free throws down the stretch. It is like they are having to make all this stuff up to fill the void where their confidence should be. KABOOM!!! Go Cats!
March 20th, 2012 at 12:59 am
I just spent time reading the message boards on Insidethehall.com, IU fans has officially pissed me off… Take a look at the comments on their latest post… But you probably cannot comment on it because it says comments have to be approved first. So they will keep all Kentucky comments off most likely.
Games are not won on the message boards, but this game has become personal, friendships are literally on the line now.
My least favorite quote I read on that horrible site… “Indiana plays for the name on the front of their jersey, while pUKe players play for the names on their back.” – Idiot.
Friday night cannot come soon enough!
March 20th, 2012 at 1:03 am
Indiana fans can go pound sand after they get dumptrucked friday. Cats by 16 and it may not be that close.
Bunch of pricks rooting for a team of douches, who play for a dweeb, that followed a cheater that followed the worlds biggest asshole.
ps. I drove from Louisville to Paoli Ind. the other day…. that whole state is one big dumpster fire.
March 20th, 2012 at 1:21 am
I actually respect Tom Crean, and never really had any problems with IU fans until I heard multiple stories this year about how poorly UK fans were treated while in Bloomington. IU fans were frustrated b/c their program had been irrelevant for a couple of decades, but does that really justify yelling obscenities at UK fans? I can’t wait for Friday! Any IU fan that wants to try screaming obscenities at me, I will be easy to find….look for me at the corner of Euclid & Woodland in Lex on April 2nd!!!!!!!!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!!
March 20th, 2012 at 1:24 am
I’m seeing these same type posts all over the internet and twitter. It appears IU fans have not watched any UK games other than the one in Bloomington and they are basing everything on that game. For example:
Anthony Davis was in foul trouble therefore he is foul prone and easy to get in foul trouble.
Anthony Davis missed a couple of late free throws therefore he and the entire team are terrible free throw shooters.
Marquis Teague had a bad game therefore he is a terrible point guard and will be dominated by IUs guards.
Terrence Jones had a terrible game therefore he is a terrible player and will not be a factor against IU.
All of there confidence is based on their one viewing of UK. They have extreme tunnel vision and are in for a rude awakening Friday night.
March 20th, 2012 at 1:48 am
#57, you couldn’t have said that any better! They haven’t been watching us, but I have watched them lose to teams like Iowa.
Friday, Friday, Friday.
March 20th, 2012 at 2:18 am
Ha… whosier said win at MSU, OSU and wisconsin then come talk to me… Thats funny cus his teams lost at MSU, OSU and wisconsin (away and neutral) this year. Poor FT shooting? This is hilarious. These fools really are kidding themselves and are completely oblivious as to what they are getting into friday. I know anything can happen but to be talking this arrogantly as if you have the better team simply because you pulled an upset is just baffling. Your team lost to minnesota, iowa and wisconsin (twice), barely beat VCU and they are gonna roll UK? Its not just this one poster either. They all are convincing themselves they are better by literally making things up such as Zeller dominated Davis, UK can’t shoot FT’s, Teague is their weak link (No one from IU could guard him that day), UK is overrated and doesn’t play anyone except weak SEC (which is why you stormed the court?), their pg can’t shoot (24 pts says he doesn’t have to “shoot”), its a good thing their pg had a great game last game because that will help us…somehow, Crean is better than Cal cus Cal chokes in close games (MSU, Vandy, Ohio State, UNC etc.?). The list goes on. This really is funny. I can’t wait for Friday. MKG is going to own them on the boards and shut Watford down. TJ is going to own the boards and dunk zeller in the rim and now that Verdell is out (i don’t wish that on anyone) none of their guards can hold teague, miller, mkg or lamb. I see a basketball version of the bama lsu rematch coming… I hope I’m right cus it couldn’t happen to a better group of fans. Go Cats!
March 20th, 2012 at 2:35 am
The most annoying part about these posts is IU’s holier than thou attitude and the way they talk like they know everything when actually they are either ignorant or in denial about UK.
It’s also annoying how often they trash Kentucky as a state, as if Indiana is Beverly Hills or something. Indiana is the home of the KKK. Also, Kentucky’s fan base is much broader and greater outside the state of Kentucky.
“Character and Leadership” my ass. I will take MKG’s character and leadership over whatever Indiana has. Or PPat’s. Or Chuck Hayes’. Also someone remind me which program was under probation for willful NCAA violations within the last few years.
Anyway, can’t wait for the game. Win or lose there’s no other team I’d rather root for than UK.
March 20th, 2012 at 2:53 am
1) Yes Kentucky only rotates 6-7 players in consistently, but those 6-7 players after playing close to 30-40 minutes each and every game this season are more conditioned than all of IU’s starting 5 combined. These players will run and gun for a full 40 minutes and still have the juice necessary to do their post game interviews. Contrary to your belief Indiana fans, the Terrance Jones you saw in December in Bloomington is long gone. That little funk he was in only scoring 4 pts. with 6 turnovers has left and has been gone for quite some time. Thus far in the tournament Jones has 30 pts. and 21 boards while Davis on the same hand has 31 pts. and 21 boards. Good Luck.
2) Teague has completely transformed into an entirely new and improved point guard for the Cats, putting his team first and finding those open high percentage shots whether he shoots them or collects the assists. In the tournament Teague has 36 total pts. with an 11:5 assist to turnover ratio. This compared to his 15 pts. and a 5:3 ratio back in Bloomington in December. Teague is coming off a career high 24 pt. game having 7 assists and only 2 turnovers while also going 10 of 14 in field goals made. Good Luck.
3) Kentucky has played a total of only 4 close games….because we have ran every other opponent of the court whether it be at home or away. Not quite a stat for Hoosier fans to be bragging over. Kentucky in the tournament thus far has a 55.5% field goal percentage, a 70.1 percent free throw percentage and had 30 and 50% 3-point percentages against WKY and Iowa St. respectfully. This team has been shooting quite well in the tournament thus far and for a team that gave Kentucky it’s only regular season loss by only 1 point this is a pretty brazen statement that the Cats are a poor shooting team. Good Luck
This Kentucky team is no where close to the team they were in December and considering their only losses came from a last second three pointer in Bloomington and a determined Vanderbilt team beating the Cats after playing for 3 straight days, this team has been practically flawless for the rest of the season. Lets also take into account that this game is no longer on Indiana’s turf in Assembly Hall. This re-match will be on our turn. In the Kentucky owned destination of CAT-lanta where a sea of blue will drown out the hopes and dreams of IU fans throughout the Georgia Dome. The Cats have one goal on their mind coming up Friday evening and that is the sweet taste of revenge. I believe that we will see a fire in the eyes of these players that we have yet to see in any game this season and I for one am itching at the thought of getting just that. REVENGE.
March 20th, 2012 at 3:07 am
Wow I hate Indiana. Sure they can be zealous about their team but good greif. They act like they`re the number one overall seed.
March 20th, 2012 at 3:22 am
Remember when Indiana was the state most populated with KKK members? Yeaaah.
March 20th, 2012 at 3:23 am
At number 60…you beat me!!’
March 20th, 2012 at 4:53 am
I hope UK pushes in iu’s shit. It’s been awhile since i’ve wanted to see a team get taken apart. I really want to see this game, and you know our kids really want to see this guy. We got cheated out of duke, take out the frustration on these assholes.
I know it’s like turning over a kid’s wheelchair, but i just don’t care. Turn it over and steal it and run over his legs with it (not like he’s gonna feel it)
March 20th, 2012 at 6:28 am
I predict something very similar to the cyclones game, with some back and forth until we blow their doors off to go up 20+, then call off the dogs and keep it comfortable in the 12-14 range
March 20th, 2012 at 6:42 am
Cody Zeller = Pinnochio
March 20th, 2012 at 7:29 am
It’s funny that the hoosier trolls want to call Cal a choker, when he has been farther in the tourney than Crean has – 3 times!
March 20th, 2012 at 7:30 am
Didn’t Ashley Judd just finish a degree from Harvard? We are going to crush IU. That’s all that matters. There is a train coming and Indiana can’t get off the tracks.
March 20th, 2012 at 7:37 am
This is like the national news reporting on Westboro Baptist Jerks. 15 idiots visit the IU site, but let’s republish their thoughts for the whole world to see.
March 20th, 2012 at 7:46 am
Callings UK fans redneck & meth addicts while the state of Indiana has more KKK members/groups than Mississippi (The Clarion Ledger) and more meth use as well. IU’s futility the past few years have created a fan base that is filled with anger and hatred towards many, mostly towards UK because they think we are an inferior part of the species. In a way it is sad, they once were a shining light in basketball now one bad dim headlight left on by some delusional uninformed kid of his own history. Their hatred and sadness will increase around 12:01 am Saturday!
March 20th, 2012 at 7:52 am
There is only one good thing to come out of Indiana: I-65. South!
March 20th, 2012 at 8:13 am
i banged Bobby Knight
March 20th, 2012 at 8:34 am
This is the kind of crap you’ll find on message boards. A segment of message board posters are sane, but IU seems to have quite a few who are not who are proudly representing their school.
March 20th, 2012 at 8:40 am
Did you know that IU and Bloomington have the 2nd highest gay population to San Fran.?
March 20th, 2012 at 8:41 am
I think it is funny they say UK hasn’t played anyone. Last look at the Sweet 16 and both IU and UK have played 5 of the remaining 16 teams. UK’s best wins away from home of those teams have been Florida and Kansas, while IU’s is NC State (which is now IU’s best win on the entire season away from home). IU is basically the Iowa State of the Big 10. Can beat anyone at home, but can’t beat anyone away or on a neutral floor. Should be a double digit win.
March 20th, 2012 at 8:45 am
You lost in December and then ran your mouths on KSR that you would destroy us in a rematch on a neutral floor. You started the smack talk as soon as you lost last time, and we will end it on Friday!
March 20th, 2012 at 8:49 am
You guys realize there is more to life, and more people in the world than twenty-something douchebags on a message board, right??

I play in a 30 and over traveling church league our game this week is against a church across the bridge in New Albany tomorrow night. I must say there will be some bows being thrown would say ima dunk on someone but can’t do that anymore im down to the old white man stretch dunk these days. UK has “two” good players?? Wow there are no words for how dumb that sounds. they had the game of there lives at home and we had foul trouble played terrible and it still too a last second shot. What happens when the now seasoned Cats play the same IU team on a neutral court? CATS BY 15 thats what happens!!!

I am a Cards fan who hopes UK wipes the floor up with IU. I hate IU, their fans and especially former coach Bob Knight!!
I am curious though…Who do you UK fans hate more? Kinght or Pitino? As much as you guys hate Pitino you have to admit you NEVER hear the hatred coming from Pitino that you hear from Knight. Pitino always speaks of UK with respect.

Definitely hate Bob Knight more Pitino won a title for the Cats so what he is slumming in Da Ville now.

They won on a last second shot, on their home floor, on a night where a bunch of kids, barely out of high school have an off night. If UK is playing their A game Friday night, Hoosier fans will take a bypass around Kentucky just to avoid the embarrassment of driving through the state that put a whippin on them.

A boy from Kentucky is driving a boy from Indiana around in his pickup truck when the Kentucky boy slams on the brakes. The Indiana boy says”Why did you stop?” The Kentucky boy says, “Check out that sheep stuck in the fence. We got to take advantage of this.” The Kentucky boy runs over, pulls down his pants and is going to town. He yells for the Indiana boy to hurry up. The Indiana boy thinks for a minute and then decides “well when in Rome.” He runs up to the fence, pulls down his pants, bends over, sticks his head in the fence and says,”OK I am ready!”

Never has the phrase, “Act like you’ve been there before” been more appropriate. Teague can’t shoot? Tell Iowa State that. IU/UNC the only good teams we’ve played? UofL and Kansas are still in the tourney. I could go on, but why bother? Stay in your lane, IU fan.

What a cheerful lot of Angry Hoosiers…..folks it’s how they live, to be angry, to be bitter, to always be right, proud to be grumpy…..do not respond to an Angry Hoosier!!! Just leave them be. you will have no affect on their day. You will not change their mind. It’s hard to describe this lot….but be sure that they will never change!! have a great miserable life with your miserable neighbors and miserable fan base it’s a shame they won’t be able to recognize or understand how badly they about to be beatdown.

It’s a well know fact that all hoosiers are born from the a$$hole !!!!!!
