— ESPN’s Andy Katz figured out a lot of things through the first weekend of the NCAA tournament and one of those things is that UK is the “overwhelming” favorite to win it all. Here is what our favorite podcast dodger wrote in his Daily Word:
“Kentucky coach John Calipari is looking to tweak things this week, notably the 3-point perimeter defense. The Wildcats can’t be complacent. They are now the overwhelming favorite.”
Anthony Davis doesn’t even know what complacent means.

— North Carolina point guard Kendall Marshall underwent surgery on that bum wrist this morning. Marshall’s father said they’ll do what’s best for him “long term,” which means his NBA future could play a bigger role on when he returns, rather than UNC’s title hopes. Doctors put a screw in Marshall’s off-hand this morning.
— Bob Knight will be signing autographs at Man Cave Collectibles in Carmel, Indiana this Saturday. It is only $90 to purchase one of the 400 available tickets and you can cough up an extra $20 to be in the first 100. Please be very respectful of Coach Knight if you decide to go (*wink wink*) and send us any photos of you and the old codger hanging out.
— We don’t encourage vandalism, but we’ll laugh at it when it happens on Duke Rd. in Lexington.
The city will get around to replacing that eventually.
— JIMMY BUFFETT IS PLAYING A FREE SHOW AT THE FINAL FOUR!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
— Matt and Ryan Lemond were at Thrifty Car Sales for this morning’s radio show. They didn’t purchase a vehicle, but they did talk a lot about Kentucky basketball.

That’s why I got a bit irritated by the Marcus Camby comparisons. Similar in style? Yes they are similar. Similar in ability? No way!
Special players are rare and Anthony Davis is one of the most special I’ve seen…EVER! Wearing any uniform at any level.

UK is SO much better now than they were then (the first NC game. It’s minimal concern regardless of who they have playing.
The biggest concern is the best coach in the game (Tom Izzo – Michigan State) or having to beat a team UK is without doubt better than, but having to beat them for a 4th time (Florida).

Even if he does play he won’t be at 100%. I’m surprised that UNC and Mich St. have not been playing all that great. I can’t see UNC making it past the Elite 8 without K-Marsh at 100%.

Rex Chapman is Correct ! BBN, is waiting for Anthony’s Swan Songs… But, Rex has the knowledge and has earned the right to call it early. (Davis Is The Best Wildcat Ever). If Davis stayed we’d be talking, Lew Alcinder/Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlin and Big Bill Russell.We can all agree they were the Best Ever, on their respective College and Pro Teams.
