FWIW, both Heshimu Evans and Nazr Mohammed were on covers of two different issues of Sports Illustrated shortly before and during the 1998 NCAA tournament. Which we won.

18 – Not saying that couldnt even shoot the entire team on the cover but back In 2010 the issue with SLAM Magazine Is they wanted a specific number of guys on the cover. They werent trying to leave anyone out they just had a number In mind of what they thought would look good to capture the image they wanted. John Wall just had other plans and proved we are the needle.

I do love how they refer to the entire Issue as the “Choke Issue”. Just making references to everything in it, including UK. Hmmm, I bet that will cause sales to go up, especially with all the UK haters who will be bringing it up on threads.

People this is exactly why people hate on us so much some of you will complain over any thing we made a cover and are getting positive publicity this their out to get us stuff is getting old if you want to complain that espn is on Duke and UNC sack your 100% correct or that Bobby knight and a few other analyst don’t like us right agian but this their all out to get us stuff makes no since OSU got screwed last year Kansas the year before it’s not just us it’s anyone besides the ACC,Wiljer is not there because he really hasn’t played a major role this year so far

#22 almost had it, but honestly, I’ll bet Wiltjer was missing due to filming the ‘Cribs’ video with Polson. During the tour, you can see some of these guys walk through wearing these uni’s (forms and brows).

Ok BBN and Big Dog, I do not think that anyone is setting a fire to ESPN in this thread. We are observing that Kyle is not on the cover, thats it. He has been a great 7th man, and has made many big 3′s this year. He is a good player, and at 13 minutes a game, a solid sub when his name is called.
It would have been nice to have him on there. I do not think anyone that is not a UK fan, is going to think that making such an observation, as an extreme Big Blue reaction that is ridiculous. Give it a rest.

#71 – It’s not 6 white and one black….plus you are twisting this into something it’s not. Besides the 6 that are shown are averaging over 25 minutes a game and Kyle is getting just under half of that by averaging just 12. To everyone else in college basketball he is a role player and not a key figure and to be honest over 31 games that is what the stats say. While he has played a bit more lately over the course of the year he hasn’t put in the time that these guys in the games. I’m fine with Kyle being out of the picture….he’ll get his cover with the crew next year and the for winning the title of course.

This is the core of guys that got the team this far. Kyle Wiltjer is a small piece who has a chance to develop into a big one as he moves on at UK but he is not the meat and potatoes of this team. If Kyle deserves to be on there, then Eloy Vargas does too. I don’t think ESPN wants that.
