Cadets of the Day Want Afternoon Notes and a Podcast

by @ 3:03 pm. Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions

The gentleman on your left is Steven Bauer, who will soon be commissioning into the Army in May as a 2nd Lieutenant. The gentlemen to his left is his friend at Texas A&M in the Corps of Cadets, who lost a bet. Bet-losing gentleman had to wear a John Wall jersey everyday for a week. Sounds like a pretty awesome wager. Well played.

Notes? I’ll make it quick.

— How ’bout that West roster in the Jordan Brand Classic? Goodwin, Poythress, Muhammad and Bennett on the same team? I could get used to that.  Remember, Doron Lamb committed to Kentucky during a timeout at last year’s Jordan Brand Classic. It’d be nice to see Shabazz do the same.

– Nerlens Noel isn’t participating in the classic because he just reclassified to the 2012 class last night. Don’t get all upset over it.

Hmmmm…

— Anthony Davis moved up in CBS Sports Rankings. Check them out here. Also, go vote for AD on ESPN’s Player of the Year poll. He’s currently losing.

— KSRCollege.com’s Laura Leigh Rossoll checked in on Louisville sophomore cornerback Andrew Johnson. You mad, bro?

— Matt, Beisner and Bradley are currently motoring down the Western Kentucky Parkway on their way to Murray State for the Racers game tonight. They’re going to get material for the TV show, but don’t count a live blog out. Matt said he’ll wait to see how the setup is and he MIGHT do a live blog if it feels right. The game is at 8:00 ET so be ready just in case.

— Tom Leach joined Matt on this morning’s radio show. Come get your podcast!

Just wanted to reiterate that you need only VOTE for FIVE people for it to count which actually helps lower whoever the ACC guy is. BTW, please vote for Moultrie from Miss State if you will. Go KATS!

Ex-Wildcat Legend Kyle Macy: A Tennis Pro?

I have to admit that I didn’t see this one coming, but I do find it very interesting. Apparently, former Kentucky Wildcat legend Kyle Macy has resurrected his athletic career – as a tennis pro.

Here is the story from the Louisville Courier-Journal

    An excerpt:

Macy’s resume includes an NCAA championship, seven years in the NBA and nine years as coach at Morehead State University. And television analyst. And general manager of a minor league basketball team. The resume now includes tennis pro at Idle Hour Country Club, where Macy is in his second summer, and lessons are $55 an hour.

  19. Brian Storn Says:

Stop voting! That’s obviously not a legit poll as there’s not a chance in the world AD would be beat out by…whoever the ACC guy is; not to mention the other two that are now ‘above’ AD. Ridiculous! i, for one, have stopped going to ESPiN altogether. There are too many other good sources to use.

  20. Laker Cat 18 Says:

I hate the army and I hate Kid n Play…..ridiculous
