How would you like to have a 250 pound safety in your backfield? While it may not be a common sight now, it could be a common sight in the Fall when Freshman Safety Maurice Grinter roams the backfield. One of the official “Rob Gidel picks” of the 2006 Freshman class, Mo Grinter intercepted a pass during Friday’s practice, further getting UK fans excited about his potential. Rich Brooks seems equally happy saying:

“He (Grinter) doesn’t move like he is 250. He is a great athlete and we were very encouraged to see that type of play from him. ”

One of the things I love about Kentucky football is we dont let conventions dictate what we do. You dont think we should have a 300 pound quarterback…..well we show you. You wonder if a safety that weighs over 240 can actually move, we show you they can. Should be interesting going forward….
