University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Work On Your Form With The Sunday Morning Links

Sometimes you don’t even need a football present to go flying through the air like Lucy just pulled the ball away at the last second. Good Grief. UK may have had a bye week but that doesn’t mean people stopped writing about the Cats and the rest of the sporting world. Rise and shine, it’s the Sunday morning links:

-I don’t know if John Clay is going for the reverse jinx or what but he is now on record saying there is no chance the Cats will go 40-0. Why not? Clay says it is simply to tough of a task. I believe in 40-0.

-Jerry Tipton plays the numbers game and goes into detail on why the Harrison Twins wear number two and number five. Beyond the flipped mirror image of the two numbers there is a further strategy developed by their father. Pretty interesting stuff.

-Jeff Borzello of CBSsports warns college basketball not to expect a repeat of last season when the wheels fell off for the Cats. This is just a different caliber of players than we had last year with little chance of mental collapse. It’s going to be a fun year.

-After an upset filled Saturday around the nation USAToday takes a look at what the top 25 may look like when it is released later today. The SEC had a record 8 teams in last week but I’d expect that number to drop off after so many teams dropped the ball.

-Finally on to some UK football as Jen Smith takes a look at the impact Nate Willis has made as a Junior College transfer. Willis made it to campus at the last minute but has been able to help make the secondary respectable.

-Anthony Davis sealed the win over John Wall and the Wizards with a monster block in the closing minutes. The Courier-Journal has a recap of the game as well as some interviews with both Wall and Davis about what it was like to play in Rupp again.  Having the two biggest stars of the past decade back in Rupp was a great event for fans. Just think Davis could have been a part of Big Blue Madness as a junior. That is a scary thought.

How about the Herald-Leader or the Courier Journal interviews Rupp Arena’s management staff, or whoever was in charge last night, about that absolute failure of a security check-point that kept the bulk of the fans outside of that NBA game for the first quarter and a half?

Pissing off thousands of people is not the way to sell future tickets to these kinds of things or promote security.

I read that TippyTurd article. It was the first I’ve clicked on in over three years. Good to know things haven’t changed and there are still constants in the world.

Tipton’s article also makes it sound like Polson did NOT willingly give up his #5 jersey to Andrew Harrison. Way to reward your Senior Cal!

All for a gimmick that will end after this year. This is a players first program, 5star players first.
