WATCH: Little League World Series outfielder makes catch of the year

The Little League World Series is an awesome time of year where we find some of the most talented youngsters in the world fighting for a title.

Today, we saw one of these competitors make the most ridiculous catch of the week, and quite possibly, the entire year.

See for yourself:

To add to the drama, the catch was initially ruled an out, then a home run, and then eventually (and correctly) overturned.

That kid just reached celebrity status, and he hasn’t even hit puberty yet.

That’s not the little league. It’s junior league 13-15 yr olds. Still a great catch.

I am not a baseball rules expert, but why is this not a home run? I have always wondered this Seems like you are bringing the ball over the fence with this catch. How do they word the rule to make this a home run?

As an example, I know that in baseball growing up, if you catch the ball in foul territory but your moment carries you to run into the area out of play, the ball is considered out of play (just like a thrown error) and runners advance accordingly.
