Ryan Timmons, a Franklin County wide receiver, has received an offer to play football at Missouri. The offer came from new assistant Pat Washington, who was formerly on Kentucky’s staff. It was the second offer of the weekend for Timmons; on Friday, he received an offer from Cal. The Florida Gators (and Joker Phillips) are also pondering an offer.
Ranked the fourth best player in the state, Timmons rushed for 1,260 yards, caught 29 balls for 970 yards, and scored 45 touchdowns in his senior year. His recent cancellation of a visit to Ohio State has some thinking that he’s leaning towards Kentucky. Timmons took an unofficial visit to in December and watched game tape with Neal Brown (who runs the same offense that Timmons starred in during high school), met with Mark Stoops and attended a basketball game.
Timmons will announce his college decision on February 5th. He’s expected to visit Kentucky this upcoming weekend.
