Rivals updated their 2019 rankings earlier this week, but on Friday the hardworking folks at my former company updated the 2020 rankings, too.
It’s a surprise UK has two 2019 commitments this year, so it shouldn’t be a shocker to learn Kentucky has zero commitments in 2020. As a matter of fact, the Cats have only sent out two offers in the class.
UK has offered Scottie Barnes and N’Faly Dante in 2020. UK having offers out that early in the class is even somewhat rare, but it showcases how badly the Cats want both players.
It was originally thought the 2020 class would be the first in years to be able to jump straight to the NBA Draft, but recent scuttlebutt suggests that may be moved to 2021.
Barnes stayed at No. 2 in the rankings and Dante dropped a spot to No. 5.
Louisville Trinity’s Justin Powell checked in at No. 110. He was the only Kentuckian in the Rivals150.
Kentucky has also recently reached out to the No. 1 player in 2020, Jalen Green. KSR’s Aaron Torres had a recent update HERE. Evan Mobley checked in at No. 3 and R.J. Hampton at No. 4.
UK still has plenty of work to do in 2019, but if you’re a recruiting junkie it’s never too early to look at 2020.

Torres wrote he was in the 2019 class and had moved into the top 10 and named josh Greene. You write that he’s the no 1 player in 2020 and named Jalen Greene. Which is it?
The answer is yes – they are both right. They are two different players. Not to be picky but the surname is Green not Greene.
If they’re 2 different players then why does he link Torres story?
And your right they are 2 different guys. I just don’t get why you link a story about a completely different player?
I’m sure it was a mistake you perfect fans…
Well thanks Brad. I always knew as much just don’t like to boast myself.
