Perry Ellis sets in-home visits; Kentucky likely to get last one

ellis-p

One of Kentucky’s major 2012 targets, top-tier power forward Perry Ellis of Wichita, KS, has scheduled in-home visits with the trio of home state schools that made his final list of four along with the Cats. Kansas, Kansas State and Wichita State each have visits set with Rivals’ 19th-ranked player, with the Jayhawks up first on Sep. 9th, the other Wildcats visiting on Sep. 12, and the Shockers meeting with Ellis on Sep. 13th.

As of yet, Kentucky does not have a date finalized for an in-home visit with Ellis, although UK is expected to get the final meeting. Coach Cal watched enough of Ellis’ games over the summer that I think they’re already pretty well acquainted, so going last shouldn’t prove to be an obstacle. Besides, I seem to remember Cal being pretty good at this recruiting thing. It’s Kentucky against the sunflower state for Ellis. The battle is on.

#2 I agree bout him listing Wichita St., just to keep that instate interest. NO WAY IN HELL will he end up at Wichita St. That is why some kids in Kentucky will list UofL too…

#3 why would a kid in KY care if 17 other people care about their recruitment?

Can you say Chuck Hayes look-a-like. Wow that’s pretty close.

Kid is dropping big time…plays very stiff.

Im no recruiting expert, but I honestly dont see the hype around this kid. Plays very flat, and doesnt look like a Calipari type player to me. Cal seems to go after guys that can play multiple positions, I dont see this kid playing like that. My guess is he ends up at Kansas, and they get to see him in 4 years on his senior night
