Miller, Team USA take down Hungary

After opening the World University Games with a win over Mexico, Team USA moved on in pool play to face Hungary and the result wasn’t much different as the Red, White and Blue coasted to a 102-53 win. Darius Miller tallied nine points and one rebound in 17 minutes of action in the win. It’s a jump in terms of scoring for Miller, but a drop off from the eight boards he pulled down in the opener. The team as a whole continued to shoot it well, as they knocked down 12-of-25 three-pointers and shot 46% from the field overall. Miller hit his only three-point attempt of the game, with Vandy’s John Jenkins hitting a University Games record six threes on his own.

Team USA will play South Korea, which is 1-1 with a loss to Mexico thus far in the competition, tomorrow.

Someone is going to have to play lock down D on Jenkins. Miller, Lamb and J-K will have to have a good wing D for the Vandy games.

How many rebounds did you ever get Mr. Joke? Yeah, that’s right. But you still come on this board and bring this weak crap. You are beyond pathetic. Whay don’t you take Darius’ place on the UK roster? Now, that is the TRUE maening of Big WOW…
