After opening the World University Games with a win over Mexico, Team USA moved on in pool play to face Hungary and the result wasn’t much different as the Red, White and Blue coasted to a 102-53 win. Darius Miller tallied nine points and one rebound in 17 minutes of action in the win. It’s a jump in terms of scoring for Miller, but a drop off from the eight boards he pulled down in the opener. The team as a whole continued to shoot it well, as they knocked down 12-of-25 three-pointers and shot 46% from the field overall. Miller hit his only three-point attempt of the game, with Vandy’s John Jenkins hitting a University Games record six threes on his own.
Team USA will play South Korea, which is 1-1 with a loss to Mexico thus far in the competition, tomorrow.
