Where is Nerlens Noel on this roster????

  2. jon

Thanks to Jordan for putting all our recruits on the same team.

  3. Jiminy Cricket

Be a good time for Bazz and Bennett to commit!!

  4. Syrin

Anyone else think the reason Noel announced for 2012 is because Cal told him we might be full for 2013? Personally, I think it’s a sign he’s coming to UK.

  5. Floyd the Barber

3 – YEP…I see them all walking in the gym wearing BIG BLUE gear!

  6. C Ray

Looks like the low ranked Tar-Heel recruits are well represented.

  7. Catfanjb

Roster was most likely decided prior to Nerlens switching classes.

  8. Han

Wow. Too bad Noel isn’t there, though he’d probably be East. Potentially 4 guys from next year’s squad on one all-star team. insane. Alex and Archie, that would be a good time to encourage your teammates Shabazz and Anthony to join you at UK. Watch the video of this year’s Cats horsing around together last year and get a feel for the fun you’ll have.

    1) Odds are he reclassified too late to be considered for the all-star games. They would have sent out the invites and then the secondary invites if anyone turned them down. The roster’s probably been set for a couple days.

J.P. Tokoto, North Carolina (No. 89) – Dude made it because he is going to UNC lol.

  10. Han

    4) No, but Cal may have told him, “Nerlens, we want you next year, this year, or in 2020, but you’re good enough to play now, we could use you, and we’ve got a lot of schollies open right now. Just look at the numbers, and attention, Davis is getting right now. We don’t even run plays for him and he’ll probably be PoY, not to mention drafted #1. Also, you can keep the fade.”

    5) Bennett could announce at the game, but I’d guess Bazz waits till the last minute. No offense to him, but the top guys usually want their own moment to grab headlines when they commit.

  11. Irony

Anyone else find it comical to see the UNC players in the game even though thier ranking isnt in the top 25?

  12. Han

    9) Yup. And whoever Duke ends up with (only 1 signee so far?), they’ll be there too.

Some game the other night (maybe ours, referring to the upcoming UNC game), the announcers talked about all the McD All-Americans in the top 25 UNC has had, and how many in general, and one announcer asked, “Of course, are they All-Americans because they signed with UNC and Duke?”

If Noel and Bazz both sign with UK, I wonder how some of the services will justify jumping another player over both of them to be the top player like they did with Rivers this year and like ESPN did with Avery over Wall, Cousins, etc, 2 years ago.

Some of these picks are a complete joke, just like him putting in his son a couple years ago:

    Brice Johnson, North Carolina
J.P. Tokoto, North Carolina <— LOL
    Danuel House, Houston
    Jerami Grant, Syracuse
    Marcus Paige, North Carolina

There are way better players that should be able to go than these jokers.

  14. Cking98

This roster is a joke. Carolina has three players. No McGary or Coleman?? Both top ten. Jp Tokoto??? Really?? Jordan better stop picking.

  15. BS

Ntice they couldn’t put all the NC guys on the same team… would make it suck too bad.

  16. BlueFins

Here comes the bitchin from the KY Derby Festival.

  17. Waitin' on 8

J.P. Tokoto at #89 sticks out like a sore thumb… only picked because of UNC.

  18. jon

I’m sure Cauley will play in the Derby Classic

  19. Don

Tokoto is a baller..however, it is funny how they apparently allow kids in based on the team they commit to.

  20. OZ

That is disgusting UNC bias! It is not fair to the players who are legitimately in the top 20.
J.P. Tokoto, North Carolina (No. 89)
Brice Johnson, North Carolina (No. 47)
arcus Paige, North Carolina (No. 28)

  21. Han

    13) Some of the higher ups do turn it down, especially since there is a 2 game all-star limit or some such. Still, you’re right.

  22. Wes

Pretty sure the West team is gonna kick some ass

  23. The good news

The Derby City game is going to be loaded this year. Nerlens Noel, Cameron Ridley, Steven Adams, Dajuan Coleman, marcus Smart, Amile Jefferson, mitch mcgary, TJ Warren, Perry Ellis, Devonta Pollard. Plus others I mean best it has been in years.

  24. Michael Jordan

Why is everyone so suprised I picked a bunch of Tar Heels for my game? You do realize I played for UNC, correct?
