Not the actual SEC teleconference
John Calipari picked up the telephone and talked to reporters from around the south today about his team’s upcoming game against Mississippi State. He’s expecting a big game from the Bulldogs and admitted to not even watching film from their current three-game losing streak. “I don’t even watch those tapes because they won’t play that way against us,” he said.
Cal added that Mississippi State has five guys who are capable of scoring 30 points. Then he asked, “What if they come out and make 15 threes? They’re capable of doing it.”
Mississippi State head coach Rick Stansbury also beeped in a few minutes later in the teleconference. He told listeners, “I’ve seen a lot of Kentucky teams, and this may be their best one.” Stansbury also addressed Renardo Sydney’s status, saying his big man is still day-to-day and they’ll decide tomorrow if he’ll play against the Cats.
Just a reminder, it’s the 9:00 PM game tomorrow night on ESPN.
