Coach Cal isn’t one to overhype his basketball teams. It seems he’s always saying they’re ranked too high or there are 50 others teams in college basketball that could beat in them. He even found a way to downplay the greatness of the 2011-12 team throughout most of that season.
But not next year’s team. He knows how good they’ll be, especially if Andrew Wiggins joins the party.
According to Huntington Prep coach Rob Fulford, who spoke to Scout.com about yesterday’s visit, Calipari told Wiggins he’ll expect to win games by 30 points if he commits.
“He said if Andrew decides to come it would take it to an entire different level, and if they don’t win by an average of 30 points, then they didn’t succeed,” Fulford told Evan Daniels.
Be the face of the most talented team ever assembled and win games by 30 points? How can Wiggins turn that down?
