Bryan the Intern’s Picks to Click

1. If you would like to sign the guestbook for Bill Keightley, the Courier-Journal has provided a link for you.

2. Mark Story’s article about the career and legacy of Mr. Basketball.

3. I really think this Final Four has the potential to be the best ever, key word there is potential.  Obviouslly, with all four number one seeds headed to San Antonio, there has never been a greater collection of great teams in one Final Four.  But, when you consider Kevin Love, Darrin Collison, Derrick Rose, Joey Dorsey, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Brandon Rush, Mario Chalmers, Ty Lawson, and Wayne Ellington are all gonna be good to great to Hall of Fame NBA players, the potential for something special is there.  Foxsports Jeff Gordon ranks his Top 10 Final Fours, and you can decide if this one will trump that one.

4. The place to be for yesterday’s Opening Day had to be Wrigley Field.  It was a rainy, foggy, windy day, the Cubs were listless for most of the game, and then a great moment by a Cubs’s rookie in the 9th.

5. An absolutely facisnating story from the Sports Illustrated archives about a man named Sidd Finch.  What makes Finch amazing?  Several New York Mets sources say Finch could throw a fastball that was clocked as fast as 168 MPH.  Story comes from April 1, 1985.  The headline is particulary interesting, read it closely.

6. This headline really jumped out at me.  First, anything that says you are involved in Nazi anything is not gonna turn out good.  Then, to top it off, the head of Formula One is involved in a Nazi Sex Orgy.  Yikes.  That might not be a good resume builder.

2.) Yeh I got to the page, looked at the date and it was a dead giveaway, but I still read some of it (its 8 pages) it kinda comes off like an old Encylcopedia Brown book, or the Hardy Brothers

I would probably add IU kicking 2 starters (Bassett & Ellis) off the team today as a pick to click. I guess Dakich wants to leave his mark before he’s fired Thursday.

Sidd Finch is the main character from a book released over 20 years ago… “The Curious Case of Sidd Finch” written by George Plimpton. If you like baseball (& fiction) check it out, it’s fun.

5.) Uhh Ohh. Surely Billy G. won’t leave after all of this????

I’m curious as to why Dakich is hanging around, disciplining players while IU is searching for another coach. Seems like he should be looking for a job….

    7) Doubtful Billy G would leave for Ok St.

Delph just committed as a walk-on. Practice squad has mad depth.

No way Gillispie leaves….but please sign the damn contract!

I dont think he will either, but the speculation is about to start flying. Wouldn’t be surprised if he held a press conference in the next few days.

Say it isn’t so Sam! I loved the story, a potential major league player who wasn’t in love with money? Used to follow the Reds diligently until they became a farm club and until a lot of the athletes I thought were decent became involved in the 10-10-220 ripoff, why has nothing ever been said about that or did no one else notice? Nah, guesss it’s the norm in today’s world.
